We were lucky to catch up with Anny Noratto recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Anny, thanks for joining us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
A defining moment in my life—and one that has deeply influenced both my personal and professional perspective—was when I decided to fully commit to the spiritual practice of yoga, meditation, and breathwork. At the time, I was navigating chronic autoimmune conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis and Sjögren’s syndrome, and I wanted to explore how these practices could help me live with more ease, awareness, and resilience.
This journey has taught me—and continues to teach me—that living well is a daily, conscious practice. It’s about being fully present, making mindful choices, and approaching each moment with patience and self-compassion. It’s a lifetime practice that requires discipline, curiosity, and a lot of self-reflection and observance.
Through this experience, I’ve learned how to respond to challenges with clarity and intentionality rather than reacting out of habit or stress. It has shaped how I approach my professional life as well—bringing focus, resilience, empathy, and a commitment to thoughtful, intentional action. What started as a personal health journey has become a guiding framework for how I live, work, and engage with the world around me.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
For those who may not be familiar with me, I’m deeply passionate about the practice and teaching of yoga, meditation, and holistic wellness. My journey began as a personal exploration—navigating chronic autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and Sjögren’s syndrome—and discovering how intentional spiritual and physical practices could help me live with more ease, resilience, and awareness.
When I realized that what I was doing actually worked for me—helping me manage my health, reduce stress, and cultivate balance—I felt a strong calling to share these tools with others. My work is rooted in the idea that if I can experience these benefits, others can too. Through my guidance, whether in classes, workshops, retreats or wellness programs, I help people reconnect with their bodies, develop self-awareness, and find practical ways to live more consciously in their daily lives.
What sets me apart is that my approach is grounded not only in technique but in lived experience. I understand firsthand the challenges of managing chronic conditions while maintaining a full life, so I meet my clients and students with empathy, patience, and real-world insight.
I’m most proud of the community I’ve been able to foster—people who are inspired to take small, meaningful steps toward health and well-being, and who discover that transformation is possible when you commit to consistent practice. Above all, I want potential clients, students, and followers to know that my work is about empowerment: helping them feel capable, supported, and inspired to live with intention, resilience, and joy.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the most important lessons I had to unlearn is the belief that ‘we can’t heal our own body.’ For a long time, I thought that managing chronic conditions was entirely out of my control, that my body and my circumstances were fixed. But through my journey with yoga, meditation, breathwork, and holistic wellness, I discovered just how powerful the mind is in shaping our experience of the body and life itself.
I learned that when we deeply believe in ourselves and commit to consistent, conscious practice, we can create real shifts in our health, mindset, and overall well-being. Along the way, I also realized that life is meant to be fully lived, with all its challenges and joys, and that forgiveness—both of ourselves and others—is an incredibly powerful tool for releasing what holds us back.
Unlearning this lesson transformed the way I approach my life and work. It taught me that resilience, self-awareness, and intentional action are tools we all possess, and that embracing them can open doors we once thought were closed.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
Absolutely 100%! I feel incredibly grateful every day to have found and be living a life doing what I truly love. It’s a rare gift to align your work with your passion, and I consider myself very lucky. This journey has taught me that pursuing what lights you up isn’t just about personal fulfillment—it’s also about the energy and inspiration you can bring to others. I genuinely believe everyone should explore what they love and find ways to make it a central part of their lives. For me, this isn’t just a profession—it’s a calling, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
