We recently connected with Natalia Cordero and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I started dancing pretty young, I would say that once I started dancing it was love at first sight. I grew more in love with just enjoying moving my body to different styles of dance. Through the years of training many mentors and instructors told me that it was important for me to be a versatile dancer, but Ballet will always be your foundation. As a mover and artist I made it my goal to always be open minded and learn as many styles and the techniques as possible.

Natalia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Inspired by my love for ballet and my 20+ years of experience in various styles of dance and fitnessI was inspired to launch my program Ballet Flow – a Ballet-inspired fitness program that offers a unique approach by incorporating artistry to fitness and wellness. As the creative director of Ballet Flow, I lead the classes with routines that require the ultimate mind-body connection that will allow you to move with control and methodically challenge your body while remembering the importance of good posture, breathing, flexibility, and mindset that are the foundation of ballet.
My proudest moment was coming up with the Ballet Flow by Artist In Motion fitness concept that fused the foundation of Ballet technique with fitness and make it inclusive and available to everyone. I have enjoyed to see many of my clients experience a fitness concept that brings so much benefits to them.
Ballet Flow by Artist in Motion…
– requires a mat and very little to no equipment.
– Low impact movements
– No Dance experience needed
– Helps with posture, balance, flexibility and strengthening.

: Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My mission with Ballet flow is to aim for inclusivity for all genders, ages and all different levels of fitness. Ballet Flow by Artist In Motion gives my clients a moment to step in the dance shoes of a dancer. It takes them through a regiment that many dancers do to restore, strengthen and condition themselves. I just want to bring this to the forefront.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
As an artist I just love the freedom that I give my mind to create. Having an amazing support system that constantly cheers you on and motivates you to become the best version of yourself. Is the most rewarding feeling.
