We were lucky to catch up with Jesus Burgos recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jesus, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is RitmoDJ, because it grew from a creative idea into a full independent music ecosystem that I continue building every day.
What makes it meaningful to me is that it’s not just about releasing songs. It’s a long-term project where I combine music production, visual storytelling, artist development, and digital platform building under one vision. Over time, it became a space where I can create original music, build concepts around each release, and give every project its own identity instead of treating songs like disposable content.
The backstory is simple: I wanted to create something real and lasting, not just upload tracks and hope for luck. I started building step by step — producing music, improving the sound, developing cover art and visual direction, working on the website, organizing releases, and learning how to present everything professionally across platforms. That process taught me patience, consistency, and how much work is required behind the scenes to make creative work look effortless.
What also makes RitmoDJ meaningful is that I’ve been building it independently, often without a traditional advertising budget, while balancing the music side with the technical and strategic side. That means every release represents many layers of work: the song itself, the visual concept, the rollout, and the long-term brand direction.
Recently, reaching new milestones like expanding the project’s presence across platforms (including VEVO) has been especially meaningful because it reflects years of steady work, not a single viral moment. For me, the most rewarding part is seeing the quality improve over time and knowing the project is growing with intention.
RitmoDJ is meaningful to me because it represents both who I am creatively and the future I’m building — one release, one story, and one step at a time.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Jesús Burgos, a music producer and creative director, and the founder of RitmoDJ — an independent music and creative platform focused on original releases, cinematic storytelling, and artist-driven world-building.
I got into this space through music first, but over time I realized I wasn’t interested in making songs in isolation. I was drawn to the full experience around a release: the sound, the visual identity, the emotional narrative, the artwork, the rollout, and the way people discover and connect with it. That led me to build RitmoDJ as more than a music project — it became a growing ecosystem where I combine production, creative direction, branding, and digital publishing.
My work includes music production, concept development, visual direction for covers/videos, release strategy, and platform building through my website and channels. I work on original music across different styles, but what connects everything is a strong focus on emotion, atmosphere, and identity. I’m especially interested in projects that feel cinematic and intentional, where the music and visuals support each other instead of existing as separate pieces.
What sets my work apart is the way I approach each release as a complete creative universe, not just a track upload. I pay close attention to the storytelling, the visual coherence, the sound design, and the long-term direction of the brand. I also build independently, which means I’m deeply involved in the process from idea to execution — including the creative side and the technical side. That hands-on approach gives the work a very personal and consistent signature.
If I think about the “problem” I solve, it’s this: I create music and creative experiences that are not generic or disposable. In a world where content moves fast, I focus on building releases with identity, depth, and replay value. Whether someone discovers a song through a visual, a cover, a video, or the website itself, I want them to feel that there is a clear artistic vision behind it.
What I’m most proud of is the progress and consistency of the project — especially how it has grown step by step without relying on a traditional advertising structure. I’ve continued developing the music, improving the production quality, expanding the visual storytelling, building the platform, and reaching new milestones across channels, all while staying committed to the long-term vision.
What I want potential followers, collaborators, and readers to know is that RitmoDJ is built with intention. I care deeply about quality, creative evolution, and creating work that connects emotionally. I’m not chasing fast trends — I’m building something that can grow, adapt, and last.
At the core of everything I do is a simple goal: to create music-driven experiences that feel human, cinematic, and memorable.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the clearest examples of resilience in my journey has been building RitmoDJ as an independent creative project while managing multiple roles at the same time.
People often see the final result — a song, a cover, a video, a release — but what they don’t always see is how many layers are behind each one. In my case, I’m not only focused on the music itself. I’m also working on the visual direction, the creative concept, the website, release organization, and long-term strategy. That means progress can be slower than it looks from the outside, because every step involves a lot of hands-on work.
There have been many moments where it would have been easier to reduce the quality, simplify the vision, or stop pushing certain ideas. Instead, I kept choosing consistency. I kept improving the production, refining the visuals, building the platform, and learning what works through trial and error. That process taught me that resilience in creative work is not always dramatic — sometimes it looks like showing up again the next day, solving one problem at a time, and continuing to build even when growth is gradual.
A big part of that resilience has also been building without relying on a traditional advertising budget. It forces you to be resourceful, patient, and intentional. You learn to value long-term progress over short-term noise.
For me, resilience has not been about one single breakthrough moment. It has been about staying committed to the vision, even when the workload is heavy, the process is complex, and the results take time. That mindset is a big reason why RitmoDJ continues to grow and evolve.
It also taught me to be patient with growth and to respect the process, because meaningful creative work rarely happens overnight.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes — my biggest mission is to build RitmoDJ into a long-term creative platform where music, storytelling, and visual identity work together in a meaningful way.
I’m driven by the idea that music can be more than a single release or a quick upload. I want each project to feel intentional — with its own atmosphere, identity, and emotional impact. Whether someone connects first through a song, a visual, a video, or the platform itself, I want them to feel that there is a real creative vision behind it.
Another important part of my mission is creative independence. I care a lot about building something sustainable and authentic, step by step, without losing the quality or the identity of the work. That means making decisions with the long term in mind and continuing to evolve both artistically and strategically.
I’m also motivated by growth — not just growth in numbers, but growth in craft. I want to keep improving the music, the production quality, the storytelling, and the overall experience around each release. For me, the journey is not only about putting out more work, but about raising the level of the work.
At its core, my mission is to create projects that feel human, cinematic, and memorable, and to build a creative universe that can keep expanding over time with intention.
