Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sharday Harrell. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Sharday, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with what makes profitability in your industry a challenge – what would you say is the biggest challenge?
I think the biggest challenge in the Business Consulting industry is not scaling your prices to be marketplace competitive and being adamant about them. When you are in a service industry there are times when business owners and operators tend to lower their prices to be more “cost-effective” for the average customer. When really the goal is to make your product and services so unique that it should only appeal to your ideal client and the price shouldn’t matter, because you have a qualified solution.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers?
I am a Growth Business Strategist in short, but what that encompasses of is providing a variety of solutions. I launched my coaching firm in the Spring of 2018 providing career development for professionals looking to thrive in their workplace. Shortly after the pandemic in 2020, I launched the business and lifestyle pillars, which covered all visionaries, leaders and entrepreneurs. So basically, if you manage a team, own a business or simply want to take your big idea or vision to the next level-HIRE “Sharday the Strategist”. However, what makes my agency so unique is that I not only coach creatives from vison to voice to value, I am also licenses in both Real Estate and Financial Services. So, while fostering others to drive out their destiny, I trade in creating wealth through both real estate and life annuities. Thus, why I am the CEO of Sharday Serves LLC. Where you can gain solutions, services and strategies all in one.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Pivot, pivot pivot…such a fun word. I think all great stories have a plot twist, right? LOL My pivot happened less than a year ago. While I was thriving in corporate America as a very successful Pharma Executive, I realized that I could be doing more as a servant leader and kingdompreneur . So I gave myself a 6 month goal in May of 2021 to go full time as a Entrepreneur and part ways from my 9 to 5. I was already on the trajectory for 6 figures, and I no longer had the desire to be boggled down, moonlighting in real estate and taking consulting appointments on the weekends, because I was too tired after work. So, I made a promise to myself and my son that I wanted to still be successful, but create a life business that was healthy for my livelihood and overall purpose. I am glad to say today, because of that pivot in November of 2021 I am only at the beginning of purposely driven life and I have no regrets. Although this pivot brought pressure, but its producing a diamond!

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn, that just because you have a business- it doesn’t mean you will be “busy” every day. Business has peaks, highs and lows. And once you’ve mastered the seasons, you are able to implement strategies for volume such as campaign marketing, referral incentives, new products…etc
I also had to unlearn that everyone is NOT your customer, and most consumers do not care about your business more than their problem. Set boundaries, be reliable, build relationships and provide excellent service!
