We were lucky to catch up with Keianna Williams recently and have shared our conversation below.
Keianna, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think it takes to be successful?
I believe it takes focus, hard work, discipline, consistency and persistence, BUT more importantly I think, in order to remain successful you have to do what you love and love what you do. Discover your gifts and one of those gifts will lead you to your passion which will ultimately lead you to your purpose.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I’m a Lifestyle Coach and I help woman discover who they truly are, become the best version of themselves, mentally, physically and spiritually and create a lifestyle they desire. I worked in the holistic wellness industry for 17 years, where I helped hundreds of women achieve their health and wellness goals.
I received my holistic health practitioner certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, based in New York City, where I learned over 100 different dietary theories, practical and lifestyle management techniques..
I started my business, the LifeStyle Exchange, in January 2012. At that time I was primarily contracting with physicians and helping their patients, mostly women, achieve their health and weight loss goals. What I realized after just a few years in business was that most of my clients’ problems were deeper than weight loss. I begin help my clients get to the root of their problems and begin to see more long term results as far as them achieving the goals. From that I developed my LifeStyle Transformation Program where I focus on every aspect of life. To date I have many women create their dream life.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
What I believe has helped build my reputation is my genuineness and passion to help women succeed. I believe, in business, clients (and potential clients) can sense whether or not you are just trying to make a quick dollar off of them. I do what do because it’s my purpose,
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I found out I was pregnant in April 2016 and learned shortly afterwards that I was having twins. This was a bit scary for me, I was 34 years old at the time and was about to be a first-time mom of twins. I was sick about 90% of my pregnancy and ended up on bed rest at 20 weeks pregnant. I had to cancel all of my business contracts as a result of being on bedrest. My twins were born at 33 weeks, so going back to work was not going to happen any time soon after having them. I went from running my business and working 12-hour days (but loving every minute of it) to being a stay at home mom. It was a huge adjustment for me personally and professionally. I had to figure out how to keep my business alive and raise my beautiful twins. It took a few years to get back to doing what I love, coaching women, and I was determined to make it work. Six and a half years later I think, I am doing a pretty good job of balancing being a mother and running several businesses.
