We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Raul Camargo a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Raul, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

To become successful I believe discipline and consistency are the main factors that play a big role in someone being able to reach and obtain their goals toward success.

Discipline is being able to wake up everyday and work towards your goals despite feeling tired, unmotivated, and willing to make sacrifices to reach success.

Consistency is being able to do the things that will benefit you and your goals even when you don’t see results at the moment. Being consistent and moving forward is what separates you from the rest and give you that extra boost for success.

Raul, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Raul Camargo and I am the Owner of CamargoCustom Prints & designs as well as other businesses. My business journey began towards the beginning of 2020, after so many failures and reaching one of the lowest points in my life I knew I had to change and realized there was more to life.

During the time I knew I wanted to start a business but I wasn’t quite sure what specific field to go into until I did my research and realized their was a a very low market in my area for custom products, such as apparel, banners, mugs, flags etc. using methods such as screenprinting, engraving, embroider and so much more. My family from the beginning always believed in me and my business. My mother actually bought my first press machine as well as supplies to get started. From there it was up to me to decide how far I was willing to take the business… and I was ready!

I had to improve myself personally and mentally and realize in order to reach my goals and perfect my craft I had to stay disciplined. Which meant watching hours of tutorial videos, doing research, and be willing to do what others don’t to get ahead and create noise in the market place.

Failures and sacrifices is what helped perfect our craft. As a business we realize there is always room for improvement and if that means having to use different methods, do more research, better training, upgrading supplies, materials and machinery we are more than willing to provide our customers with products they will certainly be happy with.

At CamargoCustoms we provide customers with customizable products such as T-Shirts, banners, flags, tumblers, tent canopies, vehicle decals, window decals and so much more. As a business we realized in our area there wasn’t really a one-stop-shop for products like these that would not only help and benefit our everyday customers but also be a main provider for custom products for businesses and large companies in our surrounding area.

What sets CamargoCustoms apart is the fact that as a business we are always striving and looking for new ways to improve and being able to reach and help our customers by providing unique custom products wether it be for personal use or business purposes. Being able to provide certain products and services as well as being a one-stop-shop has been key in being able to stand out.

I’m very proud of how far the business has come, being able to overcome adversity and seeing the position we are in at the moment and continuing to grow is something I wouldn’t even image just three years ago.

One of the main things we’d like to let customer/clients/followers know is that CamargoCustoms main focus is to provide quality products with exceptional customers services. We love helping customers bring certain ideas to life, wether it be for personal reasons or business purposes. We are happy and thankful to everyone who has supported the business in any way shape or form and thankful they have been part of our journey as well.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

Yes, if you plan on starting a business or already have a business I recommend reading Grant Cardone The 10x Rule, as well as doing your research and reading personal development & financial books. The 10X Rule helped me see things through the business perspective and how I can improve and become successful not only in business but personally as well.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

For the start of your business venture the first year for the most part will all be investments into your business. Which meant if I wanted to reach my goals and take the business to the next level I needed funding which meant going out and doing whatever I could and that meant putting in work. At the start of the business I was working a Night Shift job(Full Time), installing carpet during the day and on weekends I was renting out tables, chairs & tent for outdoor events as a side Hussle so that I could be able to find the business and execute my business plan accordingly. And that is how I was able to get funding for the start of the business as well as the first few months before I could dedicate my full time and attention to the business.
