We recently connected with Kimbely Michele’ and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kimbely, thanks for joining us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
The definition of “Legacy” is something that is passed on. But Legacy can take many forms. A Legacy may be of one’s faith, ethics and core values. A Legacy may be monetary or your assets. A Legacy may come from one’s character, reputation and the life you lead – setting an example for others and guiding their futures.
In this life, I have been blessed to touch the lives of thousands of people and I’ve been impacted as well. The older that I get, I realize it’s not the work that I’ve done while I’m alive but the legacy that I leave behind that makes a difference. It’s not that I’m so perfect or so wonderful, I just know that I was created for a purpose. I am here to help people walk in wealth by walking in their purpose.
The true measure of my effectiveness is measured by the lives I touched and influenced during that time. And how they all show up today.

Kimbely, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
K.Michele is a highly sought-after Serial Entrepreneuer although many know her as the Purpose Coach. She is an Educator, Beauty & Spa Owner, 10x Best-Selling Author and Financial Literacy Coach as well as CEO of K. Michele Enterprises (which is comprised of over 7 businesses). She helps women walk in wealth (mentally, spiritually, physically and financially) by walking in purpose.
She is the mother of five wonderful children, and is also an Air Force member with over 22 years of service. She has her BS in Information Technology/Business Marketing.
K.Michele has a passion for helping women start and scale their businesses. Kimberly’s philosophy, approach and products separate her from the rest. She turns the tables to make walking in purpose and believing what God says about you a top priority rather than the last consideration in following God’s plan in life. So, educating people is fundamental to her philosophy.
K. Michele has discovered that working with people to help them transition from one place to the next is her most satisfying accomplishments. In all of her businesses, you will see the same core passion of helping people grow! She is most proud of her clients and mentees that have gone on to create their own businesses, become national coaches and social-media influencers. Her client testimonials all agree that K.Michele is dedicated to seeing others become successful and know who they are! One of the main points that K.Michele deals with in her coaching sessions are Confidence. Every successful person in life had to tap into their confidence.
Building confidence means taking small steps that leave a lasting sense of accomplishment. If you’ve ever learned a language, mastered a skill, reached a fitness goal, or otherwise overcome setbacks to get to where you wanted to be, you’re well on your way.
As your confidence grows, you’ll find yourself more driven to stretch your abilities. “What-if” thoughts will still arise: “What if I fail?” “What if I embarrass myself?” But with self-assurance, those thoughts will no longer be paralyzing. Instead, you’ll be able to act anyway, feeling energized by your progress in pursuing purpose.
What sets K.Michele apart is that she is a great life teacher and lets her clients know that they can do anything. Her clients have stated, “that after Kimberly’s 6-week purpose course, I was able to start my own business and leave my 9-5 job!” That is just one of the many testimonials that K.Michele has seen in her years of making a difference in the lives of so many!
K.Michele is most proud of the fact that she’s just a girl that believed what God said about her. She knows that all of her success is by the grace of God! No magic, no luck, just blessed!
Hard work, dedication, honesty, consistency and pursuit of purpose are her core values!
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Great question. You have to be the BRAND! You have to be the CONTENT! Oftentimes, people are looking to define the brand in their products, in their sales, in their location or even in their social media following but the truth is that you are the brand and the content. Some people buy your products, use your services and frequent your business just because of who you are. There was something in you that connected with them which is why they want to do business with you. This is why I always teach that you need to tell your story. What sets you apart from the other person with the same business? Why should we buy your product? What made you start your business? Why do you have a passion for this product or industry? Where do you want to take the business?
When you can answer those five questions, you are well on your way to growing clientele. When I started years ago as a Licensed Esthetician. I had no clients. I had just left active duty military and I was pivoting in my career but I began to tell my story. I went on FB everyday and make live videos while I was heading to school. I would also make videos after school when I got home with my kids. I made the world apart of my transition. So when I graduated, I was offered a position to teach at the school and I was also ready to open my own spa. I had people waiting for me to open. My advice to beauty students, start working the business and preparing before you graduate. Let them know you are in school and do free mini services or book them as soon as you graduate. Have a plan!
As I became successful in one business, I began opening other businesses. Again, I had to put myself out front on social media and let people know what I did! I started showing up at vendor shows, doing interviews and podcasts, showing up to libraries and coffee shops. I researched my tribe and started showing up where they were. If you want to grow your clientele, show up where you tribe shows up!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience is simply the power to recover quickly. If you look at my life or read one of my books you will see that I understand resilience. I’ve just always believed that even if you get knocked down, you don’t have to be out for the count. I remember when I was just 22 years old in the military and I found out that I was having my first child. I was overseas and I went to the doctor for a checkup. He didn’t speak much English and I was already terrified of the outcome so that didn’t help my anxiety. The doctor told me that I had a tumor. I called my mom and all of my family members as if my life was going to be over the next day. I was so dramatic. My mom told me to get a second opinion from an American doctor and of course, it wasn’t a tumor it was a baby. I was relieved and terrified at the same time! I wasn’t ready to be a mom, yet I had done the work so I had to face it. My life changed from that day. I had to learn how to be a young mom in the military and still take care of all of my tasks. I didn’t have time to sit down, I had to bounce back.
Then in 2007 after having my second child, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I felt like I was back in Korea all over again. This time I understood more about resilience I was determined not to let that diagnosis kill me! I went through with the procedures and I’m so thankful that I’m cancer free.
Just as life was getting better, I got married in 2012 and then in 2021 I found myself getting a divorce. A quote from my favorite movie said, “I can be the best of times and also the worst of times at the same time!” I knew that know with 5 kids again, resilience was knocking at my door and I had to answer. I couldn’t just let it knock and ignore it. I answered the door and knew that if I had nothing else, I still had my businesses. I still had my certificates and licenses and I could always start over! That’s exactly what I decided to do. The K.Michele that you see now is a healed, mature and the best version of herself!
If you are faced with a challenge and resilience is knocking at your door, I urge you to answer the door!
