Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Gianna Rustici. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Gianna , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
I’m very happy as a business owner and cosmetologist. I get to wake up every day and do work I truly love, and that in itself feels like a privilege. Owning a business is a full commitment. There are a lot of moving parts, a lot of responsibility, and most days I’m wearing several hats at once. It’s demanding, but it’s also incredibly rewarding.
I work in the beauty industry, and there’s something deeply fulfilling about helping people feel confident and good in their own skin. That sense of purpose keeps me grounded, even on my longest days. Every so often, I wonder what a “regular” job might feel like—a set schedule, fewer decisions, less responsibility. I remember one evening in particular, late at night, still working through emails and tasks, when that thought crossed my mind. But it passed just as quickly as it came. I’ve always known I wanted to build something of my own and to have control over my schedule, my vision, and the impact of my work. Even on the hardest days, I wouldn’t trade that independence for comfort. I’ve worked incredibly hard to get where I am, and building this business has been both challenging and deeply rewarding. I’m proud of what I’ve created, confident in the path I’ve chosen, and grateful every day that I get to do work that not only fulfills me but helps others feel their best as well.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve always had a passion for all things beauty, and from a young age, I knew I wanted to work in this industry. In high school, I attended a cosmetology program that gave me a huge head start. By graduation, I was fully licensed and ready to begin my career. I continued my education in aesthetics after high school and was fortunate to have incredible mentors who guided me along the way. I’m especially grateful to my parents, and my mom in particular, for supporting me and helping set the foundation for my business.
At Laser Script, we specialize in laser and skincare aesthetics, offering advanced treatments for men and women of all skin types. From laser hair removal to hydrafacials, microneedling, chemical peels, and body sculpting, our goal is to help clients look and feel their best. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone leave our doors feeling confident in their own skin.
We’ve been honored with multiple awards, and we’re always evolving—continuing our education and investing in cutting-edge technology to provide the best possible results. What sets us apart is our commitment to both expertise and experience: combining advanced treatments with personalized care so every client feels valued and seen.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategies I’ve found for growing my clientele are social media and attending networking events. Staying up to date with trends and consistently sharing my work keeps me relevant and allows potential clients to see the care and expertise I put into every service. Networking events are also key—they’re a chance to meet new people, connect with other businesses, and get my name out there in meaningful ways.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients has been referrals. I’m grateful for clients who trust me and services I provide. There’s nothing more powerful than word of mouth to grow a business and build lasting relationships.
