Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Robert Price. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Robert , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you take us back in time to the first dollar you earned as a creative – how did it happen? What’s the story?
I remember one of my fist pieces ever to sell was to a lady named Sandi. Prior to her purchasing the piece i was preparing for my first art market . I remember that painting so vividly. It was a very linear pieace; including colors like red and green.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
First I want to let the readers to know that I give all the praise to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, because without Him Id be lost. Secondly, my art is an expression of my soul and life experiences. Quite frequently I get comments on my art about how expressive and thought provoking they are. I tend to paint from my soul and my art is an extension of that. I love color and lots of movement; which gives the person looking at my pieces a glimpse into my world.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding part of being an artist is having someone connect to your pieces so much that they purchase them. I put a lot of thought into each piece. When someone deliberately loves one of my works it brings me great joy.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Before I became a full time artist I worked your typical 9 to 5 job in middle class working america.( mostly blue collar jobs.) At age 35 i had a severe mental breakdown; which forced me to stay at home and take care of my health. It was in that place of transition where I found my voice in art.
