Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christopher Wealth. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Christopher, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
My name is Wealth
The biggest risk I’ve taken was walking away from my job at the post office in 2020 to fully pursue modeling. On paper, it didn’t make sense but it felt right to do. I had stability, benefits, a routine – everything people tell you to hold on to. But every day I showed up, I felt myself shrinking and becoming unhappy. I knew i had more in me than sorting and delivering mail. I knew I wanted to create, inspire and build a life that reflected who I actually am, and that is Wealth.
Th turning point was realizing comfort can become a cage. I kept feeling this pull – like “Shorty, you’re supposed to be bigger than this ya feel me”. I remember driving around with my lady, I looked right in her eyes as I was smoking and told her I’m taking this risk with fashion modeling and not going back to the post office. I made a decision that was made me scared, no safety net, no promises, no guaranteed income. Just faith, fashion, consistency, and the belief that i bet on myself, the world would meet me halfway.
That risk changed everything. Since then, I’ve walked in NFW, walked for Wizzolx (one of my favorite black designers), and for Chelsea B. I also partnered with brands like Emporio Armani, Ralph Lauren, Zara, Levi’s, Maison Margiela, and Adidas. Went on my first brand trip with Abercrombie and Fitch, model for Don C, been featured in magazines and even showcased in art gallery “I Hope You Come Into Fruition” by Chelsea Ballinger.
Crazy Part is, I’m just getting started.
Leaving that job taught me that sometimes the biggest risk isn’t failing ya know – it’s staying somewhere you’ve outgrown. The moment I chose myself, doors started opening that I didn’t even know existed.
That risk didn’t just change my career; it change my identity and help me be more authentic fashoo!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Wealth – I’m a fashion creator, storyteller, and most importantly a model. I always say “I am Wealth and so are you”, because my whole brand is about reminding people of their true value, potential, and the abundance that already lives inside them.
I got into modeling in an unexpected way. I didn’t grow up around the fashion world and I didn’t have connections. What i did have was a hunger to express myself and a vision for a life bigger that one I was living. Modeling became the bridge between who I was and who I was becoming. While I was depress it was outlet to for me, I started with small shoots, practicing poses in mirrors, and showing up to opportunities even when I was nervous. Every step felt like a conversation with my future self saying, “Keeping going my g – this is where you belong”.
Today, my creativity works spans modeling, fashion content, and visual storytelling. Everything I create is rooted in authenticity and to be honest that is what set me apart from others. I do things with intention, I just don’t model clothes ya know; I model confidence, elevation and identity. I want people to feel something when they see an image of me, I’m not performing some type of character, I’m showing different version of myself to world.
I’m most proud of myself the fact that i bet on myself, I left stability to chase passion and all my achievements remind of why that risk was worth it. But lets put all that to the side, what honestly impact me is when people DM or see me in person and say my content motivate then and helps them step into their potential- thats real Wealth fashoo.
I am Wealth – and I want everyone who watches my journey to remember that they carry their own version of that, too.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Tuh let me tell you,
I had to unlearn was believing I had to play it safe to succeed. I grew up thinking stability was the only way to build a good life, so I stayed in jobs and spaces that didn’t fulfill me. The backstory was realizing that comfort was holding me back more that fear was. Once I let go of that mindset and trusted my own potential, everything in my life started shift.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Fashoo
My mission is to inspired people to recognize their own value. Everything I create, from modeling to content, is rooted in the idea that confidence and identity are forms of art. My goal is to show that you can rewrite your story, step into your purpose and live as the highest version of yourself ya know. That’s what “I am Wealth and so are you” really means.
