Yes. If I can sum it up in one word, it is “quality”.
My business focuses on the quality of the end product itself, but on the quality of customer service as well. Let me explain. My name is Brian Ngo. I’m a Master Barber and business owner of Retro Barbershop. People usually state how many years of experience they have under the belt. But I find this kind of information irrelevant. I focus on the result, not on time. I became a Barber out of necessity, which lead to passion. This passion has blossomed into creating a career for the next generation of Barbers. And I hope it will create more opportunities for those who want to work at Retro Barbershop in the future. Our mission is to bring the heritage of classic barbering back, where the clientele can experience a slick dapper haircut along with a relaxing atmosphere, which means no kids allowed (more precisely no one under 21 years old).

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My perfectionism.
I am a perfectionist by nature.
And what you get is the perfection of the product in its pure essence. Some would drive 2-3 hours for a haircut, and they often say they really don’t mind driving for a great experience and great haircut. This tells you a lot: It totally worth for the price, and the time committed driving.
I do art.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I don’t build my audience on social media. And I don’t know how, and I might not be that interested to know how. I don’t have any advice for those just starting to build the media presence.
