Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tanesha McQueen. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Tanesha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
I was never the girl who followed the rulebook. I was always so sure of myself and if I put my mind to it, I knew I could do it!
Down to getting married young and starting a family early. Some thought that would be the end of my story but baby it was only the beginning. When others counted me out, I quietly started counting myself in.
Life didn’t hand me a perfect plan with neat little steps. It gave me a calling… and a choice. I could shrink to fit what the world expected of me, or I could take a risk and build a legacy bigger than anyone imagined.
I chose risk.
Starting my first business wasn’t convenient. Neither was starting the next one. But I’ve learned something powerful: without risk, there is no reward. Playing it safe may keep you comfortable, but it will never grow you. The moments that stretched me the most were the same moments that revealed my strength, my purpose, and the woman I was becoming.
The path I walk isn’t always crowded and that’s the point. When you’re called to build something generational, your steps won’t always make sense to everyone else. But they don’t have to. Because when you know your steps are ordered, fear doesn’t get to be the loudest voice in the room. Faith does.
I’ve taken leaps when I didn’t have a net, and every single time, God has met me mid-air. Not because I’m fearless, but because I trust the One who’s leading me.
So here’s what I know for sure: when you stop waiting for the perfect moment and start moving anyway, life opens doors you didn’t even know existed. Your dreams aren’t waiting on permission — they’re waiting on your yes.
Take the flight.
Bet on yourself.
Because the reward is always on the other side of the risk.
“I didn’t just take the risk… I became the proof.”

Tanesha , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Tanesha McQueen — a wife, mom of four daughters, and “Pretty T” to my beautiful granddaughter. I’m a creative visionary, author, empowerment coach, and the founder of a growing ecosystem of legacy-driven brands: Styling Her Esteem, Farmasi Partnership, and the H6 Family of Businesses.
My journey didn’t start with a big investor or a fancy business degree — it started with faith, family, and a desire to change the narrative. I got married young and started my family early. A lot of people counted me out, but I refused to count myself out. Instead of shrinking, I decided to build. Piece by piece, I turned purpose into a platform and passion into profit.
Through my work, I help women step fully into who they are and remember who they’ve always been. My mission is simple but powerful: to empower everyday women to glow from the inside out while creating income, confidence, and impact.
Here’s what that looks like in action:
🫶🏾Styling Her Esteem gives women the tools to rebuild confidence and self-worth through conversation cards, journals, affirmations, and empowerment experiences.
💄 Partnership with Farmasi) gives women access to clean, affordable beauty and wellness products — while teaching them how to build income through everyday essentials.
🖤 Esteem Booster & H6 Innovators offer merch, digital products, and branding services that help individuals and businesses show up boldly.
✨ As an author and creator, I’ve written children’s books like Aspyn’s Dreams, Loving Daddy Anyway, Shelllie’s Magical Shell, and created Nesh Notes — powerful daily messages designed to uplift, inspire, and shift mindsets.
What sets me apart is my authenticity and legacy-first approach. My husband, my four daughters (my “4 J’s”), and my granddaughter are not just part of my life — they are woven into my work. I don’t just build for me; I build for us. Every product, every message, every brand is rooted in purpose and powered by love.
I’m most proud of turning a kitchen table dream into a living, breathing legacy. My story is proof that you don’t need perfect circumstances to build something extraordinary — just faith, vision, and a relentless commitment to keep going.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about me and my brand, it’s this:
Your story isn’t your setback. It’s your superpower.
You have everything it takes to create a life you love, and I’m living proof that purpose and bold moves can shift generations.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned is that support doesn’t always come from where you expect it. When I first started building, I thought the people who knew me best would be the loudest cheerleaders. Instead, many stayed silent.
People couldn’t see past who I used to be to recognize who I was becoming and that’s okay. The vision wasn’t given to them; it was given to me.
It used to sting watching folks hype celebrities they’ll never meet while overlooking the one right in front of them creating, building, and pushing through. But I realized I wasn’t built for validation but instead for impact.
Resilience, for me, means showing up when no one’s watching. Promoting the business when the likes are low. Believing in your dream so deeply that silence doesn’t stop your sound. Every doubt became fuel. Every “no” became strategy. Every quiet room became my training ground.
Because real resilience isn’t proven when everyone’s watching but is proven when nobody is.
And when you stay obedient to the vision, even the ones who couldn’t see it will one day have to witness it unfold.
So no, I’m not waiting for claps anymore.
I’ve got my own rhythm, my own faith, my own proof.
And I’ll keep showing up until the world catches up.
“Resilience is what you practice when no one’s watching but God.”

Let’s move on to buying businesses – can you talk to us about your experience with business acquisitions?
While I haven’t purchased a traditional franchise, I did buy into a global beauty and wellness company Farmasi and it has been one of the smartest business decisions I’ve made.
I’ve launched and operated multiple businesses from scratch, and anyone who’s built from the ground up knows the startup costs, monthly expenses, overhead, and time commitment can be intense. Every brand I personally created took strategy, funding, and systems and I’m proud of that work.
But I also believe in smart entrepreneurship, and Farmasi gave me the chance to diversify without starting from zero again.
America is a corporation and when you understand that, you move differently. Business ownership isn’t just about income; it’s about tax strategy, leverage, and lifestyle freedom. Mileage, travel, office space, business expenses, equipment, even my phone — these are everyday things that become business tools and deductions when you operate wisely. I love being able to position myself and my family in the best possible way financially and legally.
With Farmasi, the buy-in was light compared to building a business from scratch, and the return has been powerful. The commission structure is one of the best in the industry — 50% retail commission and even cashback on my own everyday purchases. To earn while you shop? That’s elite positioning. And on top of that, they provide the website, systems, training, and corporate backing — all things I would normally have to build and fund on my own.
For me, it wasn’t just about the amazing products, it was about access, leverage, and generational wealth strategy. I saw a chance to build a business that offers:
✅ low start-up cost
✅ high earning potential
✅ digital infrastructure already done
✅ ongoing education and mentorship
✅ a product line that actually aligns with my lifestyle and brand
✅ income + business deductions + ownership benefits
That’s a no-brainer. Entrepreneurship doesn’t have to be either-or — you can build your own empire and align with an established business that accelerates your path.
So yes — I bought into an international brand. And I would do it again with confidence. It’s one more pillar in my wealth-building blueprint — another lane for legacy.
Because one thing about me?
I will always choose ownership and opportunity.
