We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Amanda Adabah a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda , thanks for joining us today. The first dollar your business earns is always special and we’d love to hear how your brand made its first dollar of revenue.
I was posting on YouTube, but at first it was inconsistent. Once I started to get more consistent , there was a woman that emailed me about an issue she was having with her relationship. She told me that she didn’t have the finances to pay, but that she could basically exchange energy for a painting she had done. I was completely fine with that because the reason I started doing healing work was not for the money, but to make sure that I was helping people in a way that they actually need.

Amanda , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started this business because I wanted to be like your neighborhood healer. When I had my awakening and started going through a lot of spiritual things that I could not explain to the people around me, I wish there was somebody I could trust that I could call up on the phone and just talk to about the downloads and the revelations that I was getting and the energy that I was picking up on.
At first, I had just started with tarot readings, but as time went on, I added more products and services to my website. I now also offer protective sugar scrubs, sugar scrubs for attracting what you want, dowsing rod readings, sea moss and manifestation/Protective oils.
What I am most proud of is actually myself! I’m proud of myself for being able to still be here after almost 10 years and so many ups and downs in life. I’m grateful for the wisdom that I acquired in order to help you all on your journey to understanding yourself. I am also grateful for the confidence that I have built when it comes to the products and services that I have for you all.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective energy strategy that I have found to grow my clientele is just by being myself. When you are yourself, people can better see the light that you carry and it also helps them to trust you more because they know that you’re not hiding anything or trying to be like somebody else.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
This time last year, I was actually homeless and living in my car. There were so many people that said that they would be there to help me, but never came through and I had to figure it out all by myself. I was working two jobs but that’s also when I decided to take content creation seriously. This is how I blew up on Threads and was able to connect with so many beautiful individuals. I was still doing YouTube as well and was posting more content on there than usual, which also helped to get my brand out there. If there’s anything that period of my life taught me, it is to be obedient to the Most High and believe that you are worthy of so much better in life because that is how you are seen in the eyes of the Divine.
