Demetria “MzMetchi”, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
The idea for The Blueprint Live was born out of a deep desire to create a space where real conversations could happen, conversations that inspire, educate, and empower. Back in 2018, I was watching how social media was shaping narratives and realized something: so many voices were being drowned out by noise. People needed a platform where authenticity mattered, where stories of resilience and success could be shared without filters. That is when the blueprint concept hit me. What if I could give people the blueprint to navigate life, business, and personal growth?
I started small, streaming live on Facebook and YouTube and partnering with radio stations like Fluent Media Network, Jamz 95.3 FM, and Indie 101.5 FM. The response was overwhelming. People were not just listening, they were engaging, asking questions, and sharing their own stories. That told me this was not just a good idea, it was a necessary one. The logic was simple: people crave connection and practical guidance, and I could deliver both in a way that felt personal and relatable.
Fast forward to 2024 and I launched The MzMetchi Show, my daytime talk show. This was a natural evolution of my vision. I wanted to take the energy of The Blueprint Live and bring it to a broader audience with a polished television-style format. The MzMetchi Show is about lifestyle, culture, and empowerment. It is where we tackle real issues but keep it fresh, fun, and inspiring.
What made me most excited was the uniqueness of the approach. I was not just creating another talk show, I was building a platform that bridges community and media, where viewers feel seen and heard. I knew it would work because I had already proven the concept with The Blueprint Live. The engagement, the loyalty, the impact all pointed to one truth: people want content that speaks to them, not at them.
At the heart of both shows is a mission to amplify voices, share knowledge and create spaces where transformation happens. That is the problem I am solving, giving people access to conversations that matter in a world that often prioritizes entertainment over substance.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Demetria “MzMetchi” Brown, and I am the creator and host of two dynamic media platforms: The Blueprint Live and The MzMetchi Show. My journey into media began with a passion for authentic storytelling and a desire to create spaces where voices that often go unheard could be amplified. I have always believed that conversations have the power to transform lives, and that belief became the foundation for everything I do.
The Blueprint Live launched in 2018 as a weekly radio and digital show that streams on Facebook, YouTube, and through partnerships with stations like Fluent Media Network, Jamz 95.3 FM, and Indie 101.5 FM. The show focuses on real conversations about life, business, and community, giving listeners practical tools and inspiration to navigate their own journeys. It is not just entertainment; it is empowerment.
In 2024, I expanded my vision with The MzMetchi Show, a daytime talk show designed to bring lifestyle, culture, and empowerment to a broader audience. This show is fresh, engaging, and rooted in authenticity. It is where we tackle real issues, celebrate success stories, and create a space for meaningful dialogue that feels relatable and inspiring.
What sets my brand apart is the commitment to substance over spectacle. In a world where media often prioritizes sensationalism, I focus on creating content that informs, uplifts, and connects. My shows solve a critical problem: the lack of platforms that combine entertainment with education and empowerment. People want content that speaks to them, not at them, and that is exactly what I deliver.
I am most proud of the impact these platforms have had on individuals and communities. From entrepreneurs who gained visibility through The Blueprint Live to viewers who found encouragement and practical advice on The MzMetchi Show, the stories of transformation keep me motivated.
The main thing I want potential clients, followers and fans to know is that my work is driven by purpose. Whether you tune in to The Blueprint Live or The MzMetchi Show, you are stepping into a space designed to inspire growth, spark meaningful conversations, and celebrate the power of authentic voices.
My mission is simple: to create media that matters.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the most defining moments in my journey happened at the start of 2024. I had partnered with a streaming platform to launch a new show called Flavor and Finds. It was a project I poured my heart into, and the premiere was scheduled for January. I had promoted it, prepared for it, and envisioned how it would expand my brand.
The day before the premiere, I received devastating news: the platform never posted the show. No explanation, no warning, just silence. I was crushed. After months of planning and anticipation, everything fell apart overnight. I remember sitting there feeling defeated, questioning everything I had worked for.
But after allowing myself time to process and sulk, something shifted. I reminded myself why I started this journey in the first place: to create spaces for authentic content and to keep moving forward no matter what. So instead of letting that setback define me, I decided to pivot. I took the concept of Flavor and Finds and turned it into a segment on my own show, The MzMetchi Show.
That moment taught me that resilience is not about avoiding failure—it is about how you respond when failure or dissapointment happens. I learned that my vision does not depend on someone else’s platform. It depends on my determination to keep creating and delivering value.
Today, Flavor and Finds is thriving as part of The MzMetchi Show and that experience made me stronger, more resourceful and more committed than ever to my mission.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
For a long time, I believed that being nice was the key to building relationships and growing in business. I thought if I was always accommodating and generous, people would respect and value me. What I learned the hard way is that being nice without boundaries can cost you everything.
There was a season where I watched people take my ideas, drain my resources and even disturb my peace. I gave access freely because I wanted to help, but I realized that not everyone operates with integrity. That experience taught me that being nice can get you run over.
The backstory is simple: I had to redefine what kindness looks like. Today, I choose to be kind but not nice. Kindness means being respectful and compassionate, but it also means protecting my time, energy, and creativity. It means setting boundaries and saying no when necessary.
Unlearning that old mindset was liberating. It allowed me to stand firm in my value and operate from a place of strength instead of fear of disappointing others. That shift has made me a better leader, a better creator, and a better advocate for my own vision.
