Donna, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
There wasn’t one defining moment but a series of events that would soon dictate the rest of my life: the lucid dreaming, the visions of angels and passed loved ones, the insights, and the overall knowing of things before they unfolded.
I’d say my mediumistic life started unfolding after I recovered from a horrible case of German measles at the age of ten that almost took my life, like it activated a part of my brain that led me to be the artist, the creative person, and the medium I am today.
Donna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve given myself the tagline “From Color to the Cosmos,” which is also the name of my website and memoir.
With a degree in interior decorating and design and over thirty years of experience with that, I tweaked my career from designing healing hues for the home to connecting to the spirit world as a medium.
Color is such a huge part of both worlds, from choosing a calming blue or green for your yoga room to focusing on red to prepare your Root Chakra for the upcoming holidays with family and friends. Back trouble, yeah, that is your Root Chakra already out of balance from those family relationships that give us stress and anxiety.
I love working with the chakras, and as a clairvoyant, I can actually see them. In my chakra reading service, I draw what I see and explain how your chakras look and how to help balance and heal them by using color. It’s something we all have access to; we just need to know how to use it.
So that is how the COLOR and the COSMOS were born, and the great thing, my friends, is all of this can easily be balanced and healed by using certain colors in our lives from the foods we eat, the clothes we choose, and even the jewelry we wear.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
I would not change a thing. We all have Soul Contracts that place us on a certain journey. If we want life to go smoothly, all we have to do is follow our dreams, as the saying goes.
For those people who choose a career path for the money or pressure from their family, and it fails or they are horribly unhappy, it’s because they are going against their Soul Contract.
Eventually, successful business people find their career when they follow their heart and what they love to do. It sounds simple, and it is, but we don’t trust ourselves enough to let life unfold as it should.
Starting out as an interior designer, I asked myself what it is that I love to do, and the answer was clearly, to work with color. I was the only designer in Charlotte, North Carolina, that specialized in just and only color. All the other designers integrated the other aspects of interior design, and I wanted nothing to do with that. So, a color expert was born and thrived for thirty years.
In 2014, I felt a shift. I still loved working with color, but the pull to the spirit world was so very strong. I had to tweak my career to follow my heart. I still worked with color, and that’s where my chakra readings come in and also working with angels. Each angel is represented by a color, and when we need healing or help from our angels, here again, we focus on color to strengthen that bond.
So today, I am full throttle when it comes to the spirit world. I changed my blog from Decorating by Donna to From Color to the Cosmos. Unfortunately, many of my blog posts related to design have broken links, but many are being written on how to heal from anything from broken hearts to grief, and yes, that can be accomplished by using certain color combinations, intent, and trusting in yourself to heal.
“My journey is the voice of the spirit world for the rest of my life,” and that, my friends, is my specialty.
