We recently connected with Nikita Thomson and have shared our conversation below.
Nikita, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear the story behind how you got your first job in field that you currently practice in.
My first job as a licensed massage therapist was at a chiropractic clinic, and this is when everything clicked for me. I had just finished massage school, still waiting on my license but doing applications and interviews in the process. I was nervous but excited to finally step into the work field I was called to do.
The interview process was simple, I shared what massage therapy meant to me and that I wanted to go deeper than just temporary relief. When the owner told me I was hired, it felt like confirmation I was on the right path.
I’m grateful I started in chiropractic care, I worked closely with the Dr and learned how to work with different types of injuries. It also helped me to build confidence as a new therapist, and set the foundation for the work I do today. I not only make people feel better but also feel whole and confident in their own bodies.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Nikita Thomson, owner and operator of The BodyTek Wellness and Massage. The BodyTek Wellness and Massage is a wellness studio focused on helping people relieve pain, improve mobility and understand their bodies. I give results driven therapeutic massage that focuses on pain management.
My calling to this field wasn’t an accident, it was an calling. I started looking into health, wellness and alternative healing when my father got sick, that period of my life led me to realize how much self-care, preventative care and stress management really are.
What started as a desire to help family and friends grew into a passion for helping people understand their bodies and manage pain in a real lasting way.
At The BodyTek Wellness and Massage, I provide services that go beyond relaxation. I help clients manage chronic neck and back pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, postural imbalances, muscle tightness amd stress related issues. My goal isn’t to just make you feel better for the day, I want to give you tools, education and support to feel better consistently.
What sets me apart is I approach each client individually, I don’t rush my sessions and I don’t offer cookie- cutter treatments. Every BODY tells a story and I take the time to understand that story. My clients appreciate
that I listen to their concerns, their lifestyle and their pain pattern and create a plan that fits their real life.
I’m most proud of the community I’ve built. People trust me with their pain, their stress and sometimes even their personal battles. My business is built on compassion, education and genuine care.
Outside of hands on services I’m also working on blogs, ebooks, products and classes. My mission is to empower people with tools they can implement to maintain their health when they can’t make it to the table.
I would like potential clients to know that The Body Tek Wellness and Massage is a space for intentional care, real results and healing. I want people to know that when they come to me I will focus on helping them feel better inside and out.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I feel my reputation has grown because I focus on doing the work with intention not just providing a service. People quickly realized I’m not a “routine” massage therapist. I take the time to listen, ask questions and to find the root of someone’s pain. That level of care is rare.
Consistency is also a big part of building my reputation. Every session is thorough, every client gets my full attention, and I do my best to ensure people feel better leaving than they did when they walked in.
I also educate my clients not just work on them. I teach them stretches, habits and self-care techniques they can use daily. They appreciate I care about their long-term wellbeing.
Finally, I think my authenticity stands out. I genuinely love what I do. I show up with compassion, professionalism, and a real desire to help. Word of mouth has been one my biggest strengths, clients feel the difference and talk about it

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
If I could go back I would choose this profession sooner. My profession has given me purpose and aligns to who I am to the core. What I do isn’t just a career for me, it’s work that feels more meaningful everyday. This field has allowed me to combine my natural gifts with my passion for health and wellness. This profession has shaped me, taught me and pushed me to grow in ways I’ve never imagined. Seeing the transformation of my clients make me grateful I followed this path.
