The decision to dive headfirst into this venture was fueled by passion and a desire to make a positive impact with our lives and our community. Yet, the challenges we faced along the way have taught us invaluable lessons about the importance of experience and preparation. When we first conceived the idea of a natural skincare brand, both Kristin and I were driven by an intense passion for holistic wellness and natural beauty. This passion, while a powerful motivator, sometimes overshadowed the need for thorough preparation and a deeper understanding of the business landscape. We were full with ideas and enthusiasm, but our inexperience meant that we often found ourselves learning critical lessons the hard way. Despite these reflections, I am grateful for every setback and challenge we encountered. Each obstacle was an opportunity to learn and grow, shaping us into more resilient and resourceful business owners. While there are moments I wish for more experience, I recognize that the path we chose has also strengthened our resolve and commitment to our vision.

Alongside my partner Kristin, we’ve embarked on a journey to create products that celebrate the essence of natural beauty while delivering effective, nourishing skincare solutions.
Our story began with a shared passion for holistic wellness and an appreciation for the power of nature. As a recent esthetician school enrollee, I’ve developed a deep understanding of skin health and the importance of using gentle, effective ingredients. Kristin, now a proud mother, brings invaluable insights into creating safe and nurturing products for all skin types, including those with sensitive or delicate skin. What sets our brand apart is our commitment to transparency and sustainability. We source our ingredients responsibly, ensuring they are not only kind to your skin but also kind to our planet. It was the first day of 8th grade at Stone Mountain Middle School. Among the sea of new faces, we found ourselves seated next to each other in Mrs. Carter’s homeroom class. Little did we know, this seating arrangement would mark the beginning of a lifelong friendship.

Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
The Risk and Reward of Paid Partnerships with Social Media Influencers. Calculating the return on investment from influencer partnerships can be challenging. Unlike traditional advertising, the impact of influencer marketing can be more difficult and harder to quantify, requiring analysis tools. However using Paid Partnerships has its benefits at the same time. Influencers often share personal stories and experiences with their followers, creating a sense of authenticity and trust. This storytelling can make a brand’s products feel more relatable and desirable to potential customers. However we don’t want to name the influencer we partnered with, even though they did what was asked we really didn’t have a return on the investment into paying influencers.
