We were lucky to catch up with Zeus Da Comedian recently and have shared our conversation below.
Zeus, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
Living life is how I learned to do what I do. I’ve always been a funny person and a natural storyteller I just had to learn the art of pacing and delivery. Comedians like Kevin Hart, Ali Siddiq, and Dave Chappelle really influenced me and helped me understand how to turn stories into moments that connect with people.
If I could speed up the process, I would’ve taken more chances early on. I never imagined myself doing stand-up until I finally gave it a try. My wife actually told me years ago that I should get on stage, but back then I was too scared to take that first step.
One of the most essential skills in comedy is understanding people. Everyone has a different sense of humor, so throughout my life and through working in all kinds of environments, I’ve learned how to read people and figure out what makes them laugh.
Honestly, the only obstacle was me. You’ve got to have courage to get on stage and perform, or to bring a story or show to life that no one else can see but you. It takes confidence, faith in yourself, and having a strong team and partner in your corner makes all the difference.

Zeus, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Zeus Da Comedian, a multi-talented entertainer, stand-up comedian, and content creator from Columbus, Georgia. My journey into entertainment has taken a lot of twists and turns from starting my independent label Street Ambitionz Ent. to launching The Match One Podcast, which really gave me the confidence to use my voice in bigger ways. By 2017, I stepped fully into comedy, and I’ve been chasing that light ever since.
What sets me apart is that my comedy is real, it comes straight from my life, from being a husband and father of five, to navigating setbacks, to finding joy and laughter in everyday experiences, even in the hard times. I like to say I wasn’t just put here to make people laugh I was put here to heal through laughter. That’s why you might catch me on stage, but also on screen playing Suge Diddy in my By Force YouTube series or Dr. Zeus in a skit, or behind the camera creating content that pushes boundaries.
Right now, I’m focused on growing my brand both locally and online, continuing to perform live shows, dropping new skits and episodes weekly, and working on bigger projects that bring my characters and comedy to new audiences. My goal is to make people laugh, but also to inspire anyone chasing their dreams.
At the end of the day, I don’t just see myself as a comedian I see myself as an experience. There are stars, there are superstars, there are megastars… and then there are planets. I’m a planet. I’ve got my own orbit, my own gravity, and I’m bringing people along for the ride.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One of my biggest platforms early on was an event called F’it Fridays—and trust me, it was just as raw, real, and unpredictable as the name suggests. I’d get up and do a set almost weekly the stage was open to invited local music artists, poets, and anybody brave enough to put their talent out there. It wasn’t just a show—it was a vibe. A safe space. A proving ground.
The event was created and curated by the incredible Kimberly Hardrick, who wasn’t just a promoter—she was a true champion of our craft and our community. When we lost her, we didn’t just lose a friend—we lost a whole movement. F’it Fridays was one of the few platforms where voices like mine had a mic, and where people came not just to perform, but to be seen, heard, and uplifted.
Since then, finding stages has been tougher and comedy? Well, I live in a city with no dedicated comedy clubs, so I’ve performed in living rooms, apartments, cookouts, backyards, and once even did a set next to a bounce house at a birthday party—because when you’re passionate, the show must go on, even if the audience is half toddlers and half people waiting on barbecue.
But the hustle continues, and I carry the spirit of F’it Fridays with me wherever I go. That platform lit a fire in me—and I’ve been chasing that light ever since.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
At the heart of my creative journey is my family especially my children. My goal is to show them what it looks like to chase your passions and believe in yourself, no matter how long it takes or where you start. I want them to see that success isn’t about being perfect, it’s about having the courage to try, fail, learn, and keep going. Through comedy and creativity, I’m teaching them to dream big, stay consistent, and never limit themselves. Be a Planet Youngins!
