We were lucky to catch up with Lexan Fletcher recently and have shared our conversation below.
Lexan, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Ever since I was a little girl, I knew media was going to be the place for me. I’ve always loved being in front of an audience—whether performing in pageants, hosting an event, or speaking on camera. It always felt natural. There was something magical about connecting with people through words, stories, and emotion, and that early passion eventually grew into a lifelong career in broadcasting and production.
After a decade of producing and hosting a live TV show, I knew I wasn’t ready to step away from creating positive, uplifting content. The question was how to take that passion forward. Then it happened — a potential client approached me, looking for someone who could be the voice of their campaigns, someone who could bring authenticity, warmth, and professionalism to their brand.
It was a pivotal moment. I realised there was room for a media service that combined creative storytelling with brand collaboration, and that insight sparked the idea for Flex Media—a platform where I could package my skills as a media host, voice talent, on-camera presenter, event MC, and brand content partner. Through Flex Media, I’ve been able to help brands tell their stories in ways that feel real, engaging, and purpose-driven.
Beyond client work, my journey also deepened my passion for women’s empowerment, leading me to launch Project YOU in 2023 — an inspiring live event that celebrates wellness, self-worth, and personal growth. With plans for the next edition in the pipeline, my goal is to continue building spaces that uplift and empower women, both through media and meaningful connection.
For me, Flex Media and Project YOU are two sides of the same vision — using media and messages to empower, inspire, and create lasting impact. Whether through a camera lens, a microphone, or a live audience, my mission remains the same: to use my voice and my platform to bring light, positivity, and purpose to everything I do.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Lexan Fletcher, a Grenadian media personality, producer, and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in broadcasting and media production. My love for media began at an early age—I’ve always been drawn to the spotlight, whether standing confidently before an audience in a pageant or hosting a live event. My passion for connecting with people, sharing stories, and creating impactful moments emerged from those early experiences. That spark became the foundation for my lifelong career in media.
Over the years, I’ve worked across multiple areas of the industry—from voice-over artistry, television hosting, and live event MCing to producing original shows through my own company, Flex Media. Through Flex Media, I provide professional media services, including on-camera presentations, voiceover production, PR and brand representation, and content creation for individuals, brands, and organisations that want to tell their stories with authenticity and excellence.
In addition to running my media business, I’m the creator and host of Lexan Digital Media, a talk show platform dedicated to inspiring and uplifting content. The show features engaging conversations with people who are making a positive difference in their communities, highlighting the richness of Grenadian and Caribbean culture. Airing online and via the caribbean network Flow 1, Lexan Digital Media has become a space for real stories, genuine connections, and meaningful dialogue.
My growing passion for empowerment also led me to launch Project YOU in 2023 — a women’s empowerment movement designed to bring women together through live events, panel discussions, and heart-to-heart conversations around wellness, personal growth, and purpose. The inaugural event was a success, and I’m excited for the follow-up event in 2026. Project YOU represents the next chapter of my mission: using media and live experiences to help women embrace their potential and live boldly.
What sets me apart is my commitment to positivity, purpose, and quality. Whether I’m producing a show, lending my voice to a brand, or curating a women’s event, I bring the same dedication to excellence and authenticity. I believe media should uplift, educate, and inspire — and that philosophy guides every project I undertake.
I’m most proud of the trust and connection I’ve built with my audience and clients over the years and of staying true to my values even as the industry continues to evolve. My goal has always been to use my voice and platform to highlight stories that matter, empower others to see their worth, and remind people that kindness and integrity still have a place in media.
Anyone discovering my work for the first time—whether through Lexan Digital Media, Flex Media, or Project YOU—knows that everything I do is rooted in genuineness, creativity, and heart. My brand represents empowerment through storytelling, and my mission is simple: to help others shine while continuing to live my purpose through the power of media.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One of the most defining moments in my journey came a few years ago, when I faced an unexpected setback that completely shifted my career path. At the time, I had spent many years working within the media industry, but circumstances forced me to pause, reassess, and rebuild. It was a challenging period — personally and professionally — but it also reminded me of something powerful: that resilience isn’t just about bouncing back; it’s about rediscovering your strength and using it to create something even greater.
That experience inspired me to start my own media company, Flex Media—a step that required courage, faith, and a deep belief in my skills, whilst going through moments of reluctancy. Working from home, I began producing content, voicing commercials, and managing projects on my terms. It wasn’t easy; the balancing act between entrepreneurship, motherhood, and personal growth tested every part of me — but it also reignited my confidence and purpose.
From that chapter emerged not only renewed focus in my media career but also a deeper passion for empowerment, which later became the driving force behind my women’s initiative, Project YOU. Reflecting on my journey, I recognise that resilience has been a consistent theme, transforming challenges into opportunities and serving as a reminder that sometimes, what appears to be the end actually marks the beginning of a more authentic story.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe my reputation was built on a foundation of humility, consistency, and integrity. From the very beginning, I’ve always approached my work with genuine passion and a desire to connect meaningfully with people — whether on camera, behind the mic, or through my productions. I think audiences and clients alike can sense when you truly love what you do, and for me, that love for media started long before it became a career.
Over the years, I’ve remained committed to quality — not just in how my content looks or sounds, but in the messages I choose to share. I’ve built trust by staying true to my values and ensuring that every project I take on reflects positivity, professionalism, and purpose. Whether I’m hosting an event, producing a show, or working with a brand, I give my full attention to detail and storytelling, because I understand the power of representation and impact.
Consistency has also been key. In an ever-changing media landscape, I’ve continued to show up, to create, and to deliver with excellence. People know that when they collaborate with me or engage with my platforms, they can always expect sincerity, warmth, and a genuine human connection.
I believe my reputation grew because I’ve never tried to be anyone else. I’ve simply focused on doing meaningful work, celebrating others, and using my voice to uplift—and that sincerity is what continues to resonate in my market. Bottom line, it’s important not just to love what you do but to show that you do.
