Khadir , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Have you signed with an agent or manager? Why or why not?

I signed with Ursula Wiedmann Models around mid 2022 through an open call . I always wanted to be a model and after knowing a couple models I knew that was the place for me

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Yeah of course ,I’ve been a signed model for about 3 years . I also creative direct music videos as well as style. I would call myself an aesthetic junky. I enjoy lending hand to people who want to bring an identity to their brand , videos or simply personal style

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?

I think it comes down to creating space for artist to express themselves wether that’s helping an artist throw an open mic or providing artist with chances to execute tasks that were built for like beautifying the neighborhoods that aren’t always taken care of . Artist need money , exposure ,opportunity and the support of the community like anyone else does. It’s all about building community so I think we need to be purposeful about creating artist colonies and spaces for artist to congregate

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

I wish I knew about talent agencies and things like the local theater. Sometimes it can feel like there are no pathways with Art if you aren’t in school but your local theater can help cultivate you and push you in the right direction. A talent agency can find work suitable for you so as long as you are pushing yourself and putting yourself out there , they can leverage your abilities
