Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jamarius Leaphart. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jamarius, appreciate you joining us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?

In 2017 and 2018, I began losing close family members. It put a strain on my emotions, mental and my life goals. I really knew it was something wrong with me because I never felt like “This” before. It was something different. Depression and anxiety, for me, became a everyday struggle for me. At the time I was like 15 or 16. It wasn’t until December of 2018- I knew it was time for me to get myself together. I was raised by people who wholeheartedly believed in the power of prayer. I knew my faith is what would get me through. Well in February of 2019, starting a clothing line came to me. I knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about a clothing line, haha. I just knew it was a foolish thing (at the time) to think about. It kept coming to me, so I called up a older relative and got some help coming up with ideas. I began thinking about my journey and struggles with depression and anxiety and I centered my clothing brand, which now has turned into a brand with multiple avenues around helping those who want real, raw and relatable stories and entertainment. We’re family and we have conversations as such. I knew this is where my purpose was. I knew I didn’t go through that phase in my life for nothing. It was a reason as to why everything happens. I used my pain and turned it into purpose which then yielded success above just monetary success it also helped me heal while helping other heal.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

My name is Jamarius Leaphart. I am a 19 year old entrepreneur, author and content creator. My brand is centered around helping society unlearn the toxic myths and lies that were placed on us. I use controversial topics and situations to build a community where it feels safe to be yourself, laugh, heal and grow in unity. From my podcast Turktalks, My coffee brand a Taste of Turk and my books that help you find yourself even in the smallest ways while also replenishing your soul. I love seeing people grow and evolve through different tactics. One thing I want everyone to know is this… We are growing together. The same life I live on social media, I live off. I genuinely love people and I love seeing people heal and grow. My job isn’t complete until you’ve figured out yours. We are in this together.

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?

I feel that NFTs are GREAT to incorporate into your business or brand. Listen, once I find out how to incorporate them for me-I will definitely be doing just that. Again, Evolution and growth is always in effect when business or social media is in play.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

One thing I had to learn was that You can’t bring everybody with you. Yeah they might be your good friend from second grade but they aren’t where you are now. Some people aren’t ready for the work, sacrifice and tears. They are ready for the outcome but hate the process. Some wins you just have to celebrate alone. And once we feel like we HAVE to bring everyone along with us- that’s the moment you just decided to hold yourself back. Find your dedicated 2 or 3 and WIN BIG.
