We were lucky to catch up with Denise Elizabeth Byron recently and have shared our conversation below.
Denise Elizabeth, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Anyone who knows me will tell you that “risk” has never been my first instinct — I’m a Taurus, after all. I love comfort, stability, and beauty. Yet, in my 40s, despite having what looked like an idyllic life, I felt a deep and growing disconnection from my soul’s path.
I was married and living in a beautiful, progressive town. My small coaching practice combined astrology and numerology to help clients connect the dots in their lives, and I was teaching a powerful somatic practice for women — one that encouraged the nurturing of our life-force energy. I continued working with mentors to strengthen my intuitive and psychic gifts, including mediumship. By all accounts, life was good.
And yet… something inside me was restless. I felt compressed and constricted. My soul was saying that I needed to stretch. This longing wasn’t about my external life — it came from the deepest parts of my being.
I tried everything I knew at the time to stay in the life I had spent many decades cultivating: therapy, spiritual practices, and more. But my inner voice became impossible to ignore. I knew I needed to grow, to serve more women, and to live in greater alignment with my purpose. That realization set me on a path I never imagined I’d take.
This was long before Zoom or online courses, so starting over meant truly beginning again. My husband and I spent a year in therapy trying to find our way through it, but ultimately, we chose to divorce. It was heartbreaking. I moved to a new town where I knew no one, with only my faith in something greater than myself, my experiences as a teacher and coach, my spiritual tools and practices, and a small cushion of savings to hold me.
Some people in my circle told me I was “crazy” to leave such a comfortable life. Many dear people in my life reminded me that fully expressing myself and sharing my gifs was a part of the journey. So, I leaned into my intuition, my spiritual connections and my teachers and coaches for support. And then, magic unfolded.
I was guided to a new community of entrepreneurial women. The networking group I joined became the foundation for my business and my confidence. I’ll always remember that first meeting in December 2011 — it marked the beginning of a new chapter of belonging and purpose.
Since then, my life has continued to expand in extraordinary ways. I’ve had the privilege of guiding thousands of people worldwide to reconnect with their wisdom, intuition, and purpose through my courses, retreats, and private sessions. I’ve built communities that meet weekly in many forms and now work with hundreds of new clients each year — many from around the globe.
The risk I took — leaving behind everything familiar — was immense. The grief was real, but the joy of creating a life that feels wholly me has been worth it all. Today, I live with a loving, aligned partner back in the same small town I once left behind.
The words of Anaïs Nin have always spoken to me, but now they define my journey:
“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
Life, as she reminds us, is a process of becoming. And sometimes, the bravest act we can take — in business, in love, in soul — is simply to allow ourselves to blossom. Add in that sparkle of magic the Universe wants to share with us, and then we have a life that is often beyond our wildest dreams.

Denise Elizabeth, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I believe that magic surrounds us every single day — in the exquisite unfolding of a flower, in the harmony of planets spinning through our galaxy, and in the quiet rhythm of our own breath.
Each of us has access to cycles of magic, mystery, and power within our own being. Through my courses, retreats, trainings, and private sessions, I guide others to illuminate their Cosmic Intelligence and Sensuous Wisdom™ — weaving ancient knowledge with modern, practical application.
I believe that within every woman lives a wise and sensuous soul ready to embrace her power with compassion and confidence.
That intelligence is multifaceted — it includes intuition, emotion, and embodiment.
And that confidence in our wholeness is the key that unlocks success, connection, and joy.
As a mentor, I encourage my clients to release past wounds and celebrate their full aliveness — unapologetically and compassionately.
As a Visionary Strategist, I offer guidance that helps soulful entrepreneurs bring their creative visions into form with clarity, fulfillment, and success.
As a teacher of teachers and leaders, I bring over 40 years of experience to every immersion, retreat, and class, supporting the deep inner and collective work.
My fascination with the unseen began early — at eight years old I was reading Tarot by weaving stories from the colorful cards before I could even read words. Astrology and spiritual exploration filled my childhood, long before the internet made learning accessible. In my 30s, when personal computers arrived, I dove deeper into astrology with renewed passion and access to information at my fingertips.
One of the most profound lessons of my journey came in my 30s: deep intuition lives in the body. Through embodied movement meditation, I discovered how presence deepens psychic awareness and opens the inner portal of knowing. From this realization, Sensuous Wisdom™ Circles, Courses, and Trainings were born — creating pathways for women to reconnect with their life force, intuition, and creative power.
The twists and turns of life — including the transformative Covid years — brought both challenge and magic. Meeting new communities around the world reaffirmed for me how much people long to understand the stars, themselves, and their own inner guidance.
Now, in my 60s, I feel a profound gratitude for the wisdom that I receive each day through my interactions with all the realms of being. I share what I can through Cosmic Compass Conversations, individual sessions, private immersions, global retreats, and the Virtual Temple online. Each offering is designed to help others align with their purpose and live more consciously connected to the mystery that moves us all.
Through astrology, numerology, and intuitive insight, one of my greatest gifts is helping people recognize, understand, and embody their soul’s purpose — and then take practical steps toward living it.
Riding the waves of life calls for fortitude, but when we combine that with body wisdom, open hearts, and gratitude, the extraordinary unfolds with grace and pleasure. Life isn’t always easy, but it is always rich beyond measure.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I think most of us can agree that the Covid years brought a new level of stress and uncertainty into our lives. For me, it also brought an unexpected turning point.
Until that time, nearly all of my work was in person. I had hosted a monthly online mini-retreat, so I knew how to navigate the digital space — but I never imagined it would become the primary way I met with people.
Before 2020, I often said I didn’t want to work through a computer because I feared it would lack the energy and connection I value so deeply in my sessions and circles. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
When the world shifted, I was already somewhat familiar with online gatherings thanks to the monthly retreats I began offering in 2017. But Covid demanded a full commitment. I had to trust the process — and open myself to a completely new way of sharing my work.
To my surprise, what began as necessity became one of the greatest gifts of my professional life. Working online has allowed me to connect with clients and students all over the world and the energy is just as powerful, sometimes even more so. There’s a unique intimacy that comes when people join from their own sacred spaces, surrounded by what feels safe and real to them.
This experience has taught me that when we live what we teach — opening to what is highest and best for the greater good — magic unfolds.
I am profoundly grateful that my work continues to evolve in ways I never could have planned, and that technology, once a barrier, has become a bridge to a truly global community.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Truthfully, the best source of new clients has always come from referrals, meaningful podcast interviews, collaborative offerings with like-hearted professionals, and thoughtful online articles like this one.
I feel deeply blessed to have built a strong client base that shares their experiences with others. At the heart of my work is creating safety and trust in every session. I want each person to know that what we explore and discover together is held with the highest level of confidence.
Over the years, I’ve learned that sharing a little about myself — in the right way and the right amount — helps people feel more connected. Early in my career, I was taught that personal disclosure wasn’t “professional.” In practice, I’ve discovered that creating authentic, appropriate relationships with clients is not only professional, it’s foundational to the work itself.
Collaboration has been equally as important. I love co-facilitating online and in-person workshops and retreats.
Partnering with other skilled professionals allows us to expand and enrich the client experience in ways that are joyful, transformative, and deeply supportive.
Writing about myself or being interviewed still feels daunting, but I’ve come to see it as an essential part of growth — both inner and outer. Sharing my story allows others to connect, trust, and be inspired to step more fully into their own journey.
