We were lucky to catch up with Vince Hill recently and have shared our conversation below.
Vince, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?
When I got started, I was working a very demanding job as an auditor for a Big 4 accounting firm, evaluating the strengths and internal controls of Fortune 100 publicly traded companies. But despite the prestige, I felt drained and defeated — climbing the ladder downward in search of “work-life balance.” Fresh out of college, I was already burned out after working 80-plus hour weeks.
I began feeling disengaged and started listening to audiobooks from virtual mentors like Les Brown, who described my exact reality and fueled my dream of one day being in control of my destiny — where I wasn’t told my worth, my hours, or where I had to be. I wanted the freedom to work from anywhere, on my own terms.
After working with several recruiters and chasing opportunities that promised “work-life balance,” I realized I was just being sold someone else’s definition of it. Freedom looks different for everyone — and so does entrepreneurship. One day, after a long, draining commute, I remember hearing Les Brown talk about “the graveyard being the wealthiest place on earth” — filled with dreams never pursued. As I literally drove past a graveyard that evening, I shed a tear. I didn’t want to go there anymore — not physically, not mentally, not spiritually.
I tried talking to peers, but none of them had started a business. To them, I had “made it” — a kid from the hood with a high-paying job. But they couldn’t see the internal conflict I was battling. So, I made a commitment to create from within instead of searching outward.
I started exploring resources like Entrepreneur.com, but the programs I found were out of reach — one even cost $10,000, which was all I had in savings. I tried everything I could to figure it out — I paid for courses, joined mastermind groups, signed up for webinars, and consumed every piece of information I could get my hands on. But instead of clarity, I found myself addicted to information and trapped in perfectionism — always preparing, never executing. That’s when I realized the real hole in the market: all these programs were just pieces of the puzzle, and no one offered the complete solution.
So I made a vow to become what I once needed — the person who could bridge that gap and simplify the process. I started my own bookkeeping business and began coaching clients on the side. Over time, my passion for coaching took over, and I began documenting my journey to help others.
Today, I’m an advocate that you can start with what you have and where you are. You don’t need anything extra — just belief, direction, and a strategy that aligns with your values and vision. That’s why my motto is to meet clients where they are.
I relied on my background as an auditor — but instead of evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of established corporations, I chose to help the underdogs: startups sitting on their ideas and solopreneurs wearing every hat. I help them build scalable business environments through a holistic coaching approach because I believe the solution is within us, not outside of us.
What started as a simple concept — the idea that creativity and structure could coexist — became a reality that has since placed me in rooms with entrepreneurs, executives, and visionaries I once only dreamed of learning from. My approach opened doors I never imagined, proving that when you act on faith and clarity, opportunity always meets you halfway.
That belief became my mantra: Create. Build. Sustain.
My dream has opened many doors — allowing me to travel, impact hundreds of entrepreneurs, publish a book, and design multiple coaching solutions for startups and solopreneurs from all walks of life. It’s been ten years in the making, and it remains my God-given passion to this day.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Vince Hill — Business Coach for Startups & Solopreneurs | Creative Project Management Consultant | Author | Speaker. I help entrepreneurs transform their ideas into scalable, profitable businesses by blending creative strategy with structured execution.
My career began in corporate accounting, auditing Fortune 100 companies. That experience gave me a front-row seat to how strong systems and intentional processes drive growth — but it also showed me how many entrepreneurs never reach that level because they lack the structure, clarity, or resources to bring their vision to life. I saw a gap in the market between creativity and business functionality — and I made it my mission to bridge that gap.
That mission became the foundation for starting my brand Create with Vince & My Creative Business Management firm Income Generating Consultants (IGC) — two platforms designed to meet entrepreneurs where they are and guide them through every phase of business growth. Together, they form a complete ecosystem of support that helps clients go from concept to company with confidence and clarity.
At the core of what we do are four main services:
One-on-One Coaching: Personalized mentorship to help founders refine their offer, align their brand with their values, and create a plan of action that feels doable and exciting.
Creative Business Management Consulting: Strategic guidance that merges creative direction with operational and marketing structure, ensuring the business works as beautifully as the brand looks.
Online Business Accelerator (Incubator Style): A guided, community-driven program built for solopreneurs and startups who want to launch or scale quickly through accountability, frameworks, and systems that actually work.
Done-For-You Business Management Firm: A complete business buildout where our team handles the operations, systems, marketing funnels, and client acquisition strategy — allowing clients to focus on serving instead of constantly building.
What makes my approach unique is that every part of it was born out of real experience — from the challenges I faced transitioning out of corporate life to the gaps I noticed in the coaching and consulting space. I tried everything early on — the courses, webinars, and mastermind groups — and realized that most solutions only offered pieces of the puzzle. So, I built a model that puts the entire picture together.
And it doesn’t stop there. My services are constantly evolving, shaped by what I see clients struggling with and the feedback they share throughout their journey. Every conversation, success, and challenge helps refine the systems and strategies I teach. For me, it’s never about perfection — it’s about innovation. The entrepreneurial landscape changes fast, and my goal is to stay ahead of it, adapting our tools and approaches to what founders actually need now, not just what worked yesterday.
What sets my work apart is the integration of creativity, structure, and human understanding. I don’t just build businesses — I build confidence, clarity, and community. My philosophy is simple: the solution is within you, not outside of you. My job is to help you uncover it, build around it, and sustain it.
I’m proud that what started as a personal vision has grown into a global platform that’s helped hundreds of entrepreneurs launch, scale, and rediscover their creative freedom. Through my programs, book, and events, I continue to help others see that freedom isn’t found — it’s built.
My mantra remains the same: Create. Build. Sustain.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
There was a point early in my journey where I felt like I was doing everything “right” — I had the degree, the career, and the title working as an auditor for a Big 4 firm. But despite the success on paper, I was mentally and emotionally exhausted. I remember driving home one night after another long week of 80-hour workdays, listening to Les Brown talk about how “the graveyard is the wealthiest place on earth.” At that moment, I realized I was on a path that didn’t align with who I was becoming — and I shed a tear because I didn’t want my ideas, dreams, and creativity to end up buried with me.
That moment sparked everything. I walked away from the security of a corporate job and started from scratch. I failed, learned, and reinvented myself more times than I can count. There were seasons where I doubted everything, where nothing seemed to work — but I refused to quit. Instead, I channeled every setback into building frameworks, systems, and tools that would one day help others who felt the same way I once did.
Resilience for me isn’t about never falling — it’s about always finding new ways to rise, refine, and keep creating even when the odds say stop.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to keep innovating how entrepreneurs build and sustain their businesses — by aligning strategy with purpose, not trends. Everything I’ve created — from one-on-one coaching to our Done-For-You Business Management Firm — was born from real experiences I’ve lived and challenges I’ve seen others face. I know what it’s like to be overloaded with information and told that success only looks one way. That’s why my focus has always been to create complete solutions that evolve with my clients and meet them where they are.
At the core of my philosophy is a belief I live by: purpose over popularity. Because if it’s your purpose, you won’t quit when it gets tough — but if it’s just popular, you’ll find a reason to quit when the hype dies down. My work is about helping creators rediscover that purpose and build systems around what makes them unique.
I’m big on creating strategies centered around the creator, not the crowd. If a client hates video but loves writing, I won’t force them onto YouTube — I’ll help them build a blog strategy on Medium or their website and use storytelling-driven email marketing to attract leads. To me, entrepreneurship isn’t about forcing what doesn’t fit; it’s about designing a business that flows naturally from who you are.
Business, to me, is an art form — an extension of creativity and self-expression. That’s why I focus on creative entrepreneurs over “business people.” Even though business is conducted, it’s driven by the heart of a creator — someone turning passion into impact. My mission is to help them do that with clarity, alignment, and longevity.
