We recently connected with Nadia Kaminskaya and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Nadia, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I got my inspiration at an early age. When I was 16 years old, I started my own tutoring service. When I saw that the business was growing, I wanted to find a branding company to help me get new clients. However, when I approached companies about potentially creating a website, most companies completely disregarded me because of my age and budget. Turns out, this inspired me to learn the ins and outs of marketing and I created my own website for my business. It was at that very moment, I absolutely fell in love with Branding.
When I attended the University of South Florida, I met a lot of other people who were in similar situations- they had small companies and were looking for Branding. This is what made me so passionate about helping these entrepreneurs grow. So, I started her own marketing startup that was focused on helping others to build their brand. My goal was to make these companies feel as if someone is in their corner by providing affordable and quality services and bringing their brand’s vision to fruition.
As for what inspires me now, I want to build something unique. My goal is to bring a holistic approach to branding and social media. I believe that there are many Marketing and PR companies out there that don’t help entrepreneurs see results. A chronic issue in this field is scams specifically because people don’t know what services they are paying for. My love for Tampa ignites a passion to help the community here and seeks fulfillment through helping businesses that don’t have adequate resources. Through transparency and communication, I explain the services required to achieve deliverable business goals and showcases the value in cost.

I am Nadia Kaminskaya, owner and CEO of Branding Bosses, based in Tampa. I am a self made business owner who loves to help those around her out and learn new things along the way.
Originally from Russia, I immigrated to the US when I was seven years old. She has lived all over the United States, but she says that since she moved to Tampa, I fell in love, and has been my home ever since. My love for Tampa inspires the work that she does – my marketing agency specializes in helping small or medium businesses grow, specifically locally.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Building a social media audience can be a challenging task but if done right, you can acheive it! The first step in creating an audience is to figure out who is your target audience and on which platform is the best way to reach out to them. Are you catering to a specific group or a wide range of audience. Are they on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook?
The second thing is to create engaging content that will attract an audience. Using different media types such as photos, reels, and shorts can be very useful. Keeping up with real-world topics and trends can also attract an audience to your social media. Impromptu Q&A’s or Polls are content that will help your audience be engaged and would want to follow you on a long-term basis.
Creating social media goals can help you monitor your social media performance and will help you make the appropriate changes as necessary.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
In my opinion, the most effective way to grow your clientele is to network and make long-lasting connections. When I was just starting out my business, I went to various networking mixers and events to create these connections. Most of my clients are people who I met at these events and communicated with me. Following up with the people I met after these events were crucial as you want to show them that you are invested in their needs.
