We recently connected with April Love and have shared our conversation below.
Hi April, thanks for joining us today. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?
My journey into creative services really started from seeing a gap that so many small business owners and entrepreneurs were falling through. With a background in IT and over a decade of experience in business services and marketing, I constantly met people who had incredible ideas but didn’t know where to start — or worse, couldn’t afford to.
They wanted to start a business, get found online, and build a brand that looked professional, but the cost of doing all that — from forming an LLC to developing a website and designing a logo — was overwhelming for many new entrepreneurs. I remember thinking, there has to be a better way.
That realization sparked something in me. I’ve always had a genuine desire to help people succeed, and I love seeing others bring their visions to life. So I combined my technical skills, marketing experience, and creativity to build a space where businesses could launch affordably — without sacrificing quality.
It started small, just helping a few clients get online and establish their brands, but word spread. Over time, as I saw their success, it pushed me to expand into other areas like web design, custom screen printing, and more.
The logic behind it was simple: if I could make professional branding and business support accessible, more entrepreneurs would have the confidence and tools to grow — and that, in turn, would help build stronger local businesses and communities. It wasn’t just about starting a company; it was about creating opportunities. That’s when I knew I was onto something worthwhile.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is April Love, and I’m the founder of The Creative Co Marketing & Business Hub. My journey into this industry started with a genuine passion for helping people and a curiosity for how small businesses grow and build their identity. Our mission is simple: to help small business owners build strong foundations and stand out in their industries — whether that means creating a brand identity that tells their story, helping them get discovered online, or providing the business tools that keep them compliant and organized.
What sets us apart is our personal approach. We don’t treat our clients like transactions — we treat them like partners. I take pride in being hands-on with every project and truly understanding each client’s vision, goals, and challenges. We’re not just creating logos or websites; we’re helping people build legacies.
What I’m most proud of is the impact — seeing our clients grow from an idea on paper to a thriving, visible business. Watching them gain confidence, expand their services, or open their first storefront reminds me why I started this journey in the first place.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about me and The Creative Co, it’s that we’re here to make business ownership feel achievable, not intimidating. We bring creativity, strategy, and support together to help people not only dream big — but actually build it.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My dream has always been to turn what started as my side business into my full-time purpose. When I first launched The Creative Co, it began as something I did in the evenings and on weekends — helping small business owners with branding, websites, and marketing support because I genuinely enjoyed it. Over time, I realized that this wasn’t just a side hustle; it was something that fueled me on a deeper level.
The more clients I worked with, the more I saw the real impact creative strategy and affordable business services could have. I wasn’t just helping people design logos or build websites — I was helping them step into their dreams, gain confidence, and take their ideas seriously. That realization made me want to dedicate myself fully to it.
So now, my goal is to continue building The Creative Co into a sustainable, full-time business that not only supports my family but also empowers other entrepreneurs to do the same. I want it to be a space where creativity meets purpose — where small business owners can find everything they need to grow without feeling overwhelmed or priced out.
Turning this passion into my full-time career isn’t just about personal success — it’s about creating opportunities for others to thrive, too. That’s what keeps me motivated every day.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of being a creative is watching ideas come to life — taking something that starts as a simple vision or conversation and turning it into something real, something that represents someone’s dream. There’s this special moment when a client sees their new logo, website, or brand for the first time, and you can literally feel their excitement and pride. That’s the best part for me — knowing I helped them bring their vision to life in a way that feels true to who they are.
I love the process of creativity — the brainstorming, the problem-solving, the storytelling behind every design or strategy. But what makes it truly fulfilling is the human side of it: connecting with people, understanding their journey, and being part of the moment they realize, “Wow, this is really happening.”
Creativity gives me the freedom to make a difference — not just through design, but through empowerment. Every project I take on reminds me that what I do helps someone else move closer to their dream, and that’s incredibly rewarding.
