Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Justin Lomprey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Justin, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the story of how you went from this being just an idea to making it into something real.
The idea for VALIANT SUPPLY was just a solution to a problem existing within the first responder community within the Southern Nevada region. Being former law enforcement and transitioning into freelance graphic design, I had plenty of friends and family within that community I’d design for and they’d always tell me that they wished I did more in turn of apparel services.
In 2017-2019, I was working as a freelance graphic designer for an apparel company that was in Las Vegas, Nevada but no longer exists as of today. When that company was still operating, I approached the CEO with my idea to split the company into two divisions. A civilian side and a first responder side. My proposal was to run the first responder side, and he’d continue to run the civilian side…become business partners rather than a “supervisor and employee” relationship. My proposal was rejected and that CEO told me at the time he had no intentions of being business partners with me, but offered full time employment instead and mentioned he’d like to explore my idea on his own. I immediately left that company, and filed the LLC for VALIANT SUPPLY.
My first client agency straight out of the gate was the North Las Vegas Fire Department, and Valiant launched August of 2022. Within that first month, I was approached by a law enforcement special unit who was missing product and or a refund from the aforementioned defunct company. I was unaware that they were doing business with them and I explained that I believe they are no longer in business, but I’d love the opportunity to correct the problem which I ultimately did on my own dime. From that moment, I knew I them as a client as well and I gained confidence in knowing that possibly my simple idea could grow into so much more.
As of today, Valiant is now a global art design/ manufacturing firm specializing in First Responder uniforms and products.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Justin and I am a self taught Graphic Designer with over 20 years of experience in the field. My journey is strange though, professionally I started a career in law enforcement. I was a patrol officer and transitioned into field operations in a specialized division. Throughout my time in investigations, I grew fond and appreciated the science behind forensics and decided to transfer into a coroners office. That was the best and worst decision I ever made for myself, I learned a lot but burnt myself out extremely quick and decided to part ways from working as a professional in the first responder community. I picked up graphic design again on my free-time, and started working as a skip tracer and private investigator to make ends meet. As my freelance portfolio kept gaining speed more and more opportunity presented itself. Although I have no formal education, I’ve done design work for ESPN, NASCAR, UNLV and also minor projects or consulting for multiple professional sporting leagues/ teams all through hard work and discipline.
Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
Cool if you like burning money.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My mission in creating is simple. Just free and open. No judgment. No opinions. I will create and amplify anything my clients throw at me, and because of that, first responders across the entire nation will contact Valiant just to work with me in badge, patch, challenge coin, apparel or uniform design and manufacturing.
