We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jerry ” Cubby” Czubinski. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jerry ” Cubby” below.
Jerry ” Cubby” , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. f you needed to find a key partner or facility – how did you find them, what was the process of striking a deal like and what would you do differently knowing what you know now?
Finding the right fit takes time, patience, research—and a solid meeting. The right partner doesn’t just show up for the wins; they’re there for the brainstorming, the messy middle, the launch, and the lessons learned when things don’t go as planned.
A true creative partner brings that extra percent of energy when you’re stuck, tired, or doubting the idea. And you return the favor when they hit that wall. Together, you match momentum, spark earth-shattering ideas, and move the business forward—not just to stay relevant, but to excite people. Because without your customers, you’re just a dream and a vision of what could be.
With the right partner beside you, you push each other to be the best version of yourselves. You challenge each other with truth—not just nodding along, but calling out what works and what doesn’t. You build with passion, sanity, and a shared belief in what you’re creating today, tomorrow, and far into the future.
That’s how I’ve found my closest collaborators—by kicking ideas around and watching who shows up with integrity, honesty, energy, and heart.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
From Blue Angels to Blue Angel Santa: A Journey of Service, Storytelling, and Seasonal Ingenuity
After 25 years of service in the United States Navy—including a tour with the Navy’s elite Blue Angels—I found myself at a crossroads. Transitioning to civilian life in Texas, I wasn’t sure what came next. Aviation, while still close to my heart, wasn’t a viable path at the time. But the spirit of flight, exploration, and storytelling never left me.
That’s when Aviators Alley and Threehook Aviation took flight.
What began as a small venture grew into a mission: preserving and sharing rare pieces of aviation and space exploration history. I partnered with passionate collectors and suppliers to create lucite-encased memorabilia—items once unattainable to the everyday enthusiast. Over time, the business evolved into a treasure trove of flown, worn, and mission-tied collectibles for airshow fans, space buffs, and aviation dreamers.
Then came the next chapter: Blue Angel Santa Claus.
This wasn’t just about Christmas—it was about keeping the spirit of giving alive year-round. We brainstormed, designed, and created unique items that reimagined Santa’s off-season life: Surfing Santa, Sleigh Test Flights, Elf Training, and even Mrs. Claus’s Cookie Club, complete with new recipes and giveaways. It’s about keeping Santa real, relevant, and just a little elusive—because too much Christmas all at once can dull the magic.
We stay tuned to the “Flavor of the Day”—what excites our customers, what sparks joy, and what gets our partners and team energized. Social media plays a huge role in this: tagging, collaborating, and launching pop-up projects that build community and expand our reach.
Whether it’s a summer sleigh upgrade or a winter keepsake infused with history, we’re always creating, always evolving, and always celebrating the spirit of connection.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
How a Cocktail Napkin Sparked a High-Tech Holiday Partnership
It all started with a vision: Reindeer Shoes—special hoofwear used only on Christmas Eve, crafted for stealthy rooftop landings and magical midnight missions. Inspired by my adventure tales and Santa visits, I sketched a rough design on a cocktail napkin, dreaming of handing out hundreds to children, young and old. But reality hit hard: the time and cost of forging them by hand with blacksmiths, farriers, and welders made the dream feel out of reach.
Then came a spark of possibility. A co-worker mentioned his son was dabbling in 3D printing and might have some ideas. Turns out, he had more than ideas—he had vision. That son is now my business partner, and he took my napkin sketch and transformed it into a lightweight, durable, roof-friendly marvel. Suddenly, the impossible became achievable.
Since then, we’ve teamed up to design and develop a sleigh-full of unique items—each one blending festive imagination with cutting-edge tech. Together, we push boundaries, celebrate creativity, and keep the spirit of innovation alive… one reindeer shoe at a time.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The Magic Behind the Reindeer Shoes
A message from the workshop…
At the heart of this creative journey is a simple, powerful moment: the look of awe on a child’s face—and the quiet smile of a parent who remembers believing, too. It’s that spark of wonder, that whispered “I always wondered how Santa did that,” that fuels everything we do.
The Reindeer Shoes were born from that very spark. Designed as a magical token to leave beside Santa’s plate of cookies, each shoe is a just-in-case gift—ready to replace a lost hoofprint from Rudolph or Blitzen during their rooftop landings. And when the children wake to find their offering gone, replaced by a worn reindeer shoe or a note from Santa himself, the story deepens. “He was here,” they’ll whisper. “He really came.”
These shoes are more than trinkets. They’re heirlooms of belief—crafted to be passed down, year after year, generation to generation. Each one carries the weight of Christmas Eve magic, the thrill of possibility, and the joy of thinking like a kid again.
Every visit, every story, every new creation is a chance to keep the magic alive. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
