We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Quintin Collins a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Quintin , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
When I look back on my journey as a business owner, I can honestly say—yes, I’m happier now than I’ve ever been. But that happiness didn’t come without moments of doubt.
The last time I thought about what it would be like to just have a regular job was during my first year in business. I remember sitting at my desk late one evening, the glow of my computer screen the only light in the room. My books were open, my coffee had long gone cold, and I was staring at the numbers—numbers that didn’t reflect the vision I had when I started. The profit wasn’t where I wanted it to be. I was exhausted, worried, and wondering if I had made a mistake.
For a brief moment, I thought to myself, “If I went back to a regular job, at least the paycheck would be steady.” The idea of predictable income felt comforting—especially after months of pouring every ounce of energy into building something from the ground up.
But then I thought back to the days before I started my own business. I remembered clocking in and out, working long hours to build someone else’s dream while I felt unfulfilled and financially stuck. I remembered that sinking feeling of knowing I had more to offer, yet no space to truly grow. That version of me was surviving, not thriving.
That realization was the turning point. I didn’t start QC Training to play it safe—I started it to create something meaningful, something that reflected my passion and purpose. I knew that true fulfillment wouldn’t come from a paycheck, but from building a legacy that helped others grow stronger, both physically and mentally.
So, I kept pushing. I refined my programs, built deeper relationships with clients, and stayed focused on the long game. Slowly but surely, QC Training began to grow—one client, one transformation, one success story at a time.
Today, I look around and see a thriving business, loyal clients, and a community that continues to inspire me daily. The doubt I once had has been replaced with gratitude and pride.
Being a business owner isn’t always easy—but it’s worth it. Because at the end of the day, the freedom, purpose, and fulfillment that come from building something of your own can’t be matched by any “regular” job.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For those who may not have heard of me before, my name is Quintin Collins, and I’m the proud owner of QC Training, a personal training facility dedicated to helping individuals transform their lives through mindset, movement, and overall wellness.
At QC Training, I work with clients from all walks of life—ranging from energetic 5-year-olds just discovering the joy of movement to vibrant 95-year-olds committed to staying strong and independent. While I specialize in developing youth athletes and helping them build the discipline, endurance, and confidence needed to excel both on and off the field, I also take great pride in supporting adults who are pursuing their personal fitness and health goals.
My philosophy is simple: “Movement is medicine.” I truly believe that physical activity has the power to heal, empower, and transform lives. My motto at the gym is, “If you want it, you have to put in that work.” That’s not just a saying—it’s a mindset. It’s about showing up for yourself, pushing past limits, and realizing that lasting change starts from within.
Beyond the gym, my mission extends into the broader world of wellness. I host a podcast called “The Weekend Endurance,” where we dive into all things health, wellness, and sustainable living. We discuss what it means to live a balanced, intentional, and health-focused life—from nutrition and mindset to recovery and lifestyle habits.
What sets my brand apart is that it’s a true reflection of how I live. I’m an advocate for holistic health—I practice what I preach. I’m passionate about cycling, swimming, and running, and I live a vegan lifestyle rooted in mindful nourishment and movement. That passion also inspired me to launch Q’s Plant Based and Juicery, a natural juice company focused on providing clean, plant-based fuel for the body. And soon, I’ll be expanding my vision even further with the release of my own wellness supplement line, designed to support those who are ready to take their health journey to the next level.
What I’m most proud of isn’t just the physical transformations I see in my clients, but the mental and emotional ones—the confidence they gain, the energy they rediscover, and the pride they feel when they realize they’re capable of more than they imagined.
At QC Training, it’s not just about fitness—it’s about building strength for life. Whether you’re an athlete chasing a dream, a parent trying to make time for your health, or someone simply wanting to feel better in your own skin, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be. We offer in person and virtual training sessions. To learn more you can visit our website at www.qctrainingfitness.com.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building my audience on social media didn’t happen overnight—it grew from a place of authenticity, consistency, and passion for what I do. From the beginning, my goal wasn’t just to gain followers, but to build a genuine community around health, wellness, and active living.
I started by sharing what I love most—real-life moments. I post consistently across all platforms, showcasing my life in health and wellness, from behind-the-scenes looks at training sessions to clips of my clients and youth athletes improving their speed, agility, and overall performance through QC Training. I also love highlighting the fun side of fitness—like taste tests where my younger clients try juices from Q’s Plant Based and Juicery, or sharing videos from local races, games, and community events that I take part in.
What really helped my audience grow was being consistent and intentional. People connect with real stories and energy—they want to see the hard work, the laughter, and even the challenges that come with living a healthy lifestyle. I make it a point to show that wellness is not just a destination—it’s a lifestyle and a mindset.
My biggest advice for anyone just starting to build their social media presence is this: be consistent, be real, and be passionate. Don’t worry about being perfect—focus on showing up as yourself. Share your journey, your wins, and even your lessons. Engage with your audience, celebrate your community, and let your personality shine through every post.
When you lead with authenticity, people feel it—and that’s how you build not just an audience, but a community that grows with you.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
At QC Training, I keep in touch with clients through consistent communication, encouragement, and community engagement. Whether it’s checking in on their progress, celebrating milestones, or sharing wellness tips, I make sure every client feels seen and supported. We stay connected through social media, text updates, and community events. Building genuine relationships and creating an uplifting environment keeps clients motivated and loyal—because at QC Training, they’re not just clients, they’re part of the family.
