We recently connected with Jada Samone’ and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jada , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I had a creative mind from a young age and knew I wanted to be a creative artist. I knew who I wanted to be when I grew up. I was the type of child who was obsessed with character breakdowns. In the early 2000s, it was television series that I enjoyed sitting in front of the television and watching; regular kids would simply watch television, but not I. I’d take a pen and paper and write every word the characters said on the paper, as if I were writing a script. I would read those phrases as if I were playing the roles myself. Growing up, some of my favorite television sitcoms included “The Cosby Show,” “Girlfriends,” “Roseanne,” “All of Us,” “Half & Half,” “Martin,” and “Friends,” among others. I would get up and act like the characters I was watching. I used to tell myself, “I want to be like them on TV when I grow up.” I was so captivated with TV/FILM that I could imitate the characters’ facial expressions and recite them word for word; it was something I enjoyed doing that most children did not. When I was in middle school, I had a group of friends that didn’t share my artistic spirit. Despite their lack of creativity, I would make songs and chose which friend would sing each stanza. I realized I was a leader because I was different; the other kids never wanted to do what I was born to accomplish. That’s why I stood out!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Taking a risk and learning along the way is one of the ways I decided to enter the industry as an adult. In 2022, I decided that I am going to pursue my dreams as an actress and creative without direction. The only way to make this happen is to step out on faith and to put myself out there. A year before 2022, around 2021, I began taking modeling classes and attending seminars with modeling coaches. As my next step, I started taking acting classes monthly. I took a risk in 2022 and moved to a different state to get the intensive training required for modeling. For several months I dedicated myself to learning everything there was to know. The Model Experience was a very well-known modeling show I was invited to participate in. I flew to Los Angeles for that opportunity, walked for a variety of brands, and made many connections there. As the year came to a close, I realized that Atlanta was where I had to be to pursue my dream of becoming an actress. Networking opens many doors. I began to enter spaces alongside the individuals I admired and had seen on my favorite television shows. In November 2022, I had the chance to converse with people who profoundly influenced my life, and I was offered the opportunity to join “WIFTA,” an organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. “Women In Film Television Atlanta”—it was truly life-changing. A incredible organization of women where you can learn and connect through our shared passion for creating TV and film. The next month, I had the chance to participate in my first web series as a supporting actress. A year later, I received my next opportunity, which was my first lead role—leading lady, AHHHH!—in a mini-anthology horror series titled “The Book of Tears.” It hasn’t been released yet, but I can’t wait for you all to see it soon. That has been my favorite project so far! Let’s dive into maintaining discipline. You need to establish a routine. Even when you’re not on a set, maintaining acting practice is essential. Create a daily or weekly schedule that involves practicing, going to classes, or working on self-tapes. Maintaining a consistent routine allows you to preserve momentum and avoid letting your skills deteriorate. Acquiring a skill requires dedication. You must be an observer of others – pay attention to how people respond and communicate. Document everything you experience. Collaborate with a diverse range of actors and directors, absorb various approaches to the craft like a sponge. Let your creativity flourish. When considering “What sets me apart from my peers?” I possess the ability to completely reinvent myself and deliver unforgettable performances. Fear doesn’t hold me back – I embrace risks and willingly invest in developing my skills. Rather than simply playing make-believe, I’ve committed myself to building a genuine career. Acting extends far beyond reciting dialogue or following stage directions; it’s about forging connections with audiences and conveying compelling narratives. That’s what I’m passionate about. I take pride in earning my place alongside the very performers I once admired from afar on television. I’m proud of recognizing my own worth and knowing I deserve to stand among them as an equal. I take pride in refusing to let others impose restrictions on me or fill me with fear simply because I am a mother. I feel accomplished knowing that I am crafting the life I desire through my own efforts, without relying on assistance from others. I am constructing this journey independently, and I am proud that rejection does not deter me. While I will certainly encounter numerous rejections, they will not halt my progress. Will challenges break my spirit? Yes, but I possess unwavering resilience. I want the world to recognize that I will become one of the finest actresses gracing television screens. My goal is to make a meaningful impact on television. I hope that when people see me, they will think that if I can achieve my dreams, they can accomplish theirs as well. I want others to believe in their own capabilities and to embrace courage rather than fear.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I consistently share my professional work and career-related events that showcase my journey. My social media presence focuses exclusively on my professional development and career progression. For those aspiring to enter this industry while building their platform, I recommend establishing clear boundaries between your personal life and professional brand. When your feed is filled with random photos and selfies unrelated to your business, industry professionals like directors and casting directors have no reason to consider you for opportunities. Your social media should connect you with individuals who share similar career paths, and you should follow accounts that complement your professional goals. Above all, showcase your dedication by posting your work, headshots, and self-tapes—anything that demonstrates your commitment to the craft. This approach positions you as the ideal person when opportunities arise.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I mentioned this earlier when I was sharing a bit about myself—my aspiration as an actress is to reach the pinnacle of the profession. I aim to become the kind of performer who creates memorable characters that resonate deeply with audiences long after they’ve watched. I strive to be recognized as an actress celebrated for exceptional work, consistently appearing in notable films and television productions. My purpose extends beyond personal achievement—I want to demonstrate to my child that dedication and determination can make any dream achievable. I’m committed to providing my child with the resources and opportunities needed for success, whatever form that may take in their life. I want to establish a legacy to pass down, having grown up without inherited assets or financial security to ease my transition into adulthood. My vision includes building businesses that I can eventually transfer to my child. Ultimately, I eagerly anticipate the day when I’ll see my star shine brightly in Hollywood.
