We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jillian Rosey. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jillian below.
Jillian, appreciate you joining us today. Folks often look at a successful business and imagine it was an overnight success, but from what we’ve seen this is often far from the truth. We’d love to hear your scaling up story – walk us through how you grew over time – what were some of the big things you had to do to grow and what was that scaling up journey like?
I started my business, Jillian’s Pop-up Yoga, in early 2021, with the vision of creating a “pop-up” following by offering beach yoga at sunrise and sunset, residential community classes, and in-home private sessions. I moved from the Northeast in late 2020 (like so many of us) to South Florida. I chose not to connect with a local studio and instead began building my following organically through social media platforms. I spent many hours on the computer sending emails and figuring out ways to connect with people, businesses, and communities that wanted my services. Like many people starting from nothing, it looked like hours of work with no pay—showing up to the beach classes I scheduled and having no one show up.
That first full year was really about creating a healthy mindset, building resilience, and trusting myself and what I wanted to do. It wasn’t until the summer of 2022 that the business took off for me, and I was able to sustain living costs. I’d like to say there was one magical thing that happened, but it was the result of consistent effort, showing up, and a lot of trust in myself and what I wanted to offer people. As my business grew, so did I. Once I had the confidence and experience, business started coming to me instead of me having to search for it.
I began taking on trainings, and over the course of two years I trained in Reiki energy healing 1 & 2 and as a Tantric Practitioner. This shifted the way I started working and made me realize I wanted to move away from the title of “Yoga Teacher” into something that felt more whole—more me. In the spring of 2024, I decided to rebrand my business to “Rosey Seas,” which embodies all the practices (yoga, somatics, sound healing, Reiki, and tantra) that have helped me connect to my truth. Rosey Seas is focused on helping people sea their truth, their hearts, and their soul purpose. I believed this rebrand would shift things for me and help grow my business—and it has. But a little over a year later, I am only now really feeling in flow with what I want Rosey Seas to be. It’s been challenging shifting from primarily being seen as a “yoga business” and stepping into a different role. It turns out it’s been a challenging transition for me to own as well. This journey has taught me so much, and the organic growth and natural pace have been helpful to me and to my work.
As a healing-arts practitioner and business owner, I feel it’s essential to stay connected to my truth and be authentic to myself and my work. I’ve reached a place where I’m working on scaling or bringing in new avenues of income. The reality is I can only work so much—so how do I stay true to myself and also generate revenue while I’m not working? I am very much in the phase of finding a solution to this question. I’m helping to create an online course and am working on streamlining my offerings so that they are set up to give me time to work on creative projects in-between that help me generate extra income. I also want to add slowly that I have been outsourcing my social media work and emails to buy myself time. It’s a tricky balance when working for yourself, but my constant guide is my faith in myself and in my mission and work in this life. I truly believe everything is working out for me as long as I keep showing up and moving forward toward my dreams. That is the single most important thing that has supported me thus far!

Jillian, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Jillian Rosey, founder of Rosey Seas, a South Florida-based healing arts brand devoted to helping people connect with their truth, their hearts, and their soul purpose. I began in early 2021 as Jillian’s Pop-up Yoga—teaching beach sunrise and sunset classes, community sessions, and private in-home instruction. What started as a pop-up yoga project has evolved into a holistic practice that integrates yoga, somatics, sound healing, Reiki, and tantric practices.
How I got started I moved from the Northeast to South Florida in late 2020 and chose to build my community organically rather than join a studio. Those early days looked like showing up—often to empty classes—while cultivating a resilient mindset and deep trust in my path. By summer 2022, the consistency paid off and my business became sustainable. As I trained further in Reiki and tantra over the next two years, my work naturally expanded beyond the title of “Yoga Teacher.” In spring 2024, I rebranded to Rosey Seas to reflect a more integrated, authentic expression of my work.
What I offer
1:1 sessions: Personalized sessions blending yoga, somatics, energy work, tantric-informed practices, and sound healing to meet your unique needs and goals.
Group experiences: Community classes and workshops focused on embodiment, nervous system regulation, and heart-centered living.
Private/on-site offerings: Mobile sessions for individuals, organizations, and businesses.
Online learning: An emerging online course and streamlined offerings so clients can engage from anywhere and at their own pace.
Who I serve and the problems I help solve I primarily support women—seekers navigating stress, burnout, life transitions, or disconnection from their bodies, pleasure, and purpose. Through an embodied, heart-led approach, I help clients:
Reconnect with their feminine energy through exploration of embodiment, expression, and pleasure.
Regulate the nervous system and release stored tension so the body feels safe to open and receive.
Build embodied awareness, presence, and emotional resilience.
Heal patterns that block intimacy and self-trust, cultivating self-worth from within.
Reclaim authentic expression, creativity, and sensual aliveness.
Cultivate daily practices and rituals that sustain well-being and deepen self-connection.
Create healthy relationship dynamics with partners by setting boundaries, communicating needs, and honoring their truth—ultimately aligning with, or calling in, a divine partner.
What sets Rosey Seas apart
Integrated approach: I weave yoga, somatics, energy healing, coaching, sound, and tantra into a cohesive, accessible experience—meeting you where you are.
Mobile and relational: My pop-up roots mean I bring the work to you—on the beach, in your home, or in your community—with a focus on genuine connection, not just sessions.
Depth with gentleness: The work is transformational without being overwhelming—steady, compassionate, and grounded in trust.
Built organically: This brand wasn’t manufactured; it grew from consistency, community, and an authentic devotion to the craft.
What I’m most proud of
Staying true to my vision through the early, uncertain phases—and building a sustainable practice grounded in integrity.
Witnessing clients soften, open, and come home to themselves.
Rebranding to Rosey Seas as an act of alignment, allowing my work to reflect who I am becoming.
What I want you to know Rosey Seas is for anyone ready to meet themselves more deeply. I’m here to hold a safe, compassionate space for your process and to offer practices that are simple, soulful, and effective. I believe in organic growth—yours and mine—and in the power of showing up with devotion.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I believe the most effective way to grow a clientele is to be—and become—your most authentic self. This applies to every industry, not just health and wellness. People feel your energy and your integrity, even if they aren’t consciously aware of it, and they’re drawn to it. Authenticity looks like owning your story, taking responsibility for your actions, setting clear boundaries, and saying no when you need to. When you lead with truth, the right clients find you

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Authenticity built my foundation, and consistency cemented it. I’m accountable, committed, reliable, and clear about my offerings. I invest in real relationships and community—and my genuine love for this work is felt in every interaction.
