Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Katy Daixon Wimer. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Katy Daixon, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
Winter of 2024-2025 was the lowest point of my work life. I woke up every day full of anxiety and dread around being at work. And no matter how many times I told myself another convincing story to stay, everything in me screamed at me to listen. My spirit was withering. My body said, MOVE. So I moved my voice by vocalizing my frustrations and fears of quitting. I moved my body through somatic release exercises, dancing, and walking. I moved my mind from thoughts of defeat to thoughts of curiosity about how life could look. I moved my heart toward what it longed for. My body knew I wasn’t living my deepest purpose. So I quit to focus on the healing arts. My truth was my medicine. Opening to it freed me, and not long after leaving that job, I woke up with the realization that my mission in life is to reconnect people to their deepest truth. There are a lot of brave people out there who are ready to return to themselves. Collectively, we need this.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Ever since I was a little girl, I have sat with myself and met life around and within me with curiosity in the pages of my journal. This reflection practice became the compass with which I navigated my relationships, my mental/physical/spiritual health, and my heart’s yearnings.
With a reverence for what’s happening in the astrological skies and devotion to honoring The Wheel of the Year, I began asking myself questions based on these various energies. Soon after, I started sharing these questions with friends, then during Goddess Circle (a friend’s coven that may become public in the future 😉 ), then through the Whitewater Public Library offering Guided Journaling sessions. Over the years, I’ve added oracle/tarot readings, breath work, and most recently, somatic practices to both my 1:1 sessions and group offerings.
Through a safe space and attunement, I guide women into a deeper relationship with themselves, resulting in deeper relationships with others and with life as a whole. In these sessions, you:
-learn a lifestyle of sacred tending to your inner and outer worlds
-get to know your fullest self and still hold yourself with the greatest love, care, and tenderness
-understand and trust your nervous system and body’s language with fierce loyalty so you live life authentically and honestly
-give yourself the gift of presence…because there is only right now, and all of you matters in this moment.
I promise you. Life is so good when you stay connected to yourself.
I graduated with a degree in Creative Writing, have self-published three poetry collections, am a continual student of ending “relational fuckery” (James-Olivia Chu Hillman – @inquisitve_human), am a professional photographer, a cold brew addict, nature lover, and sappy dork who’s in love with love and deep connections. I live in a cozy home near Whitewater Lake with my hubby and two cats.

Any advice for managing a team?
Acknowledge everyone, especially in group settings or meetings. Do this through listening, validating, and approaching their thoughts/ideas/opinions with curiosity and respect, and ensure that the whole team understands that everyone deserves to take up space. In time constraints, create clear boundaries around how long each person has.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
In coaching/facilitating, I believe the most helpful for succeeding is treating clients as sovereign equals.
