We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dominique Bivens. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dominique below.
Alright, Dominique thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
Two of the most meaningful projects I’ve worked on were connected to stories of service and sacrifice. One was for Mark Geist, co-author of 13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi. For those who aren’t familiar, the book (and later film) tells the true story of the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya. During those attacks, U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed. Mark and a small team of former special operators — later known as “the secret soldiers of Benghazi” — fought through the night, under fire for 13 straight hours, without immediate U.S. military support. Their actions saved the lives of more than 30 CIA personnel.
Mark was a guest speaker at an event in Atlanta, and I had the honor of creating the ads and producing a video for his website. For me, it wasn’t just another project. It was a chance to use my skills to amplify a story of courage, resilience, and brotherhood in the face of overwhelming odds.
The other project was for the foundation of Marc Alan Lee, the first Navy SEAL to give his life in Operation Iraqi Freedom. I created a video for their website, and hearing his story and the legacy he left behind was incredibly moving. That project reminded me that the work I do isn’t just about visuals — it’s about helping preserve powerful stories and carrying forward the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
About Me & My Journey
My name is Dominique Bivens, but I’m known as Dee to almost everyone or simply Dee Create. My journey started with digital marketing, helping brands and business owners scale through social media. I managed thousands of clients, building their brands and creating visibility in a crowded online world. Then a great friend of mine, Dorian Ash, asked if I ever wanted to learn filmmaking. I always loved it as a hobby, but stepping into it professionally opened new doors for me. Since then, I’ve traveled nationally and internationally, capturing stories for brands, businesses, and foundations. I’ve worked with some of the biggest names and companies including Smoothie King, EXP Realty, and Fume which is one of the world’s largest vaping companies. I’ve also worked with 6ix9ine, produced podcasts that went viral overnight with millions of views, and had features across major media platforms. I’ve partnered with organizations like Aspire4more, worked alongside Brandon Novak from Jackass where I even hosted his podcast, and the list continues. Over time, my passion for storytelling through visuals grew into something bigger. Now, I not only create content but also coach others on how they can break into filmmaking or professional photography and land their very first client paying them thousands of dollars.
What I Do
Today, I specialize in high-end photography and videography, working with businesses, entrepreneurs, and families across South Florida. On the business side, I create content that helps brands connect with their audience including interview-style videos, social media reels, and full-scale commercial campaigns. On the personal side, I deliver professional studio photography, including family portraits, graduation shoots, and milestone moments.
In addition, I now work with Grant Cardone, contributing to the growth of his company through marketing video ads and high-impact creative content. This role allows me to sharpen my skills at the highest level of marketing and leadership while bringing that same expertise back into the work I do with my own clients.
Problems I Solve
The biggest challenge many clients face is standing out in an oversaturated digital world. Anyone can post content, but not everyone can tell a story that builds trust and creates impact. That’s where I step in. I don’t just deliver photos or videos. I create content that positions my clients as leaders in their space, helping them generate real engagement, loyalty, and growth.
What Sets Me Apart
What separates me from others is my mix of industry experience and personal investment in every project. I’ve worked with household names like Smoothie King, EXP Realty, and major personalities in leadership and business, but I bring the same level of excellence and detail to a local business owner or a family shoot. For me, it’s not just about images. It’s about creating something that lasts and elevates the client.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m most proud of the trust my clients place in me to capture their brand, their vision, and their memories. Seeing their reactions when they realize how professional, powerful, and personal their content feels is the part I live for.
What I Want Readers to Know
At the end of the day, my brand is about quality, authenticity, and results. Whether I’m behind the camera for a global brand campaign or in the studio with a family, my mission is the same. To create content that people can feel, content that tells a story, and content that makes an impact.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been a combination of visibility and relationships. Early on, I leaned heavily on digital marketing, managing social media at scale, learning what grabs attention, and how to position a brand so people actually want to connect with it. That foundation allowed me to help thousands of clients build their presence online.
When I transitioned into filmmaking and photography, I carried that same mindset with me. It wasn’t just about creating content, it was about creating content with purpose, content that tells a story and positions a client as the authority in their space. That shift made people seek me out because they weren’t just hiring a videographer or photographer, they were hiring someone who understood how to make their content work for growth.
And finally, nothing beats relationships. I’ve grown my clientele by delivering at a high level so clients refer me to others, and by building real connections where people know I care about their success as much as they do. The mix of visibility, purposeful storytelling, and trust has been the engine behind my growth.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect is seeing how the work I create actually impacts people. It could be a business owner watching their brand finally connect with an audience, or a family seeing portraits that capture a moment in their lives they’ll never get back. Those reactions remind me that what I do goes beyond content. It’s about giving people something that represents who they are and what they stand for.
Another rewarding piece is the freedom of creativity. As a filmmaker and photographer, I get to blend strategy with art. One day I might be helping a company build authority with video ads, and the next I’m in the studio creating something timeless for a client’s family. That variety keeps me inspired.
Most of all, it’s knowing that my work creates both memories and momentum. Memories for individuals and families, momentum for businesses and brands. That balance is what makes being a creative not just a job, but a calling.
