Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Noah Mellette. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Noah, appreciate you joining us today. The first dollar your business earns is always special and we’d love to hear how your brand made its first dollar of revenue.
Back in 2016, I took the very last bit of money I had from reselling sneakers and decided to bet on myself. Instead of flipping someone else’s brand, I wanted to see if I could build my own. I printed just 10 t-shirts—nothing fancy, just the first proof of what I had in my head.
I wore those shirts every single day, treating myself like a walking billboard. After about two weeks, people started to notice. Friends, classmates, even strangers would stop me and ask, “When are you dropping?” That simple question lit a fire in me. It was proof that people weren’t just curious—they actually wanted in.
With that energy, I saved up enough for a heat press, ordered transfer sheets and 25 blank tees, and started producing shirts out of my own space. I didn’t post or promote online at first; I just sold directly to people around me—friends, folks at church, anyone who believed in what I was doing. Within a week, I was completely sold out.
I’ll never forget counting that first $600. It wasn’t just about the money—it was the realization that something I created from scratch could stand on its own. That moment changed everything for me. It gave me the confidence to keep building and showed me that if I put my mind to it, I could turn an idea into something real.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m just a kid from a small town in (Sanford) North Carolina, with big city dreams. I’ve had an entrepreneurial spirit since elementary school—back then I was selling paper and pencils just to buy Tech Decks. That hustle never left me.
Early on, the brand Supreme had a huge influence on me. I was fascinated not just by the products, but by the story, the culture, and the fact that they could sell out instantly. After years of collecting and studying what made them successful, I decided to create my own brand. My first attempt was called Prosper. I launched it with 25 t-shirts that I wore every day, and it was a success—but I realized it only reached a certain type of audience. I wanted to create something bigger, something for everyone.
That vision led me to start Noble Mansions. The idea is rooted in the belief that your body is a temple—we all have our own “mansion.” If you take the noble route with your mansion, you can escape the matrix forever. That’s where our slogan, Escape the Matrix, was born.
From there I designed our signature asterisk logo. At first glance it’s just a clean, bold mark—but if you look closer, it’s actually you: a head, two arms, and two legs. The signature logo captures what I wanted the brand to stand for. It looks good on the surface, but it’s also deeply meaningful. My goal has always been that even if someone starts wearing Noble Mansions simply because it looks good, they’re also carrying a message about self-belief and positivity.
What sets us apart is that we’re not just about clothing—we’re about building a mindset. I’m most proud that Noble Mansions has grown from an idea into a brand people connect with, not only for the style but also for what it represents. At the end of the day, I want people to know that this brand is here to inspire you to believe in yourself, live with purpose, and stand for something greater.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
For me, staying connected with supporters is one of the best parts of running a brand. Some of the most genuine encouragement and loyalty I’ve experienced has come from people I met along the journey—sometimes even more than from people I’ve known my whole life. That’s why I make it a priority to personally interact with as many supporters as I can. A lot of brands keep a wall between the owner and the customer; I’ve always made sure to keep that wall down.
To build real loyalty, I’ve created a couple of direct ways for people to stay connected with Noble Mansions. The first is our Instagram channel, where supporters can get instant perks—exclusive giveaways, early product sneak peeks, custom Mansion phone wallpapers, and interactive contests with prizes. It’s a space where the community gets to be part of the process.
The second is Postscript text updates, which ensure no one misses important drops or announcements. Members of this list get similar perks to the channel, but it’s delivered straight to their phones, which makes it easy and convenient. I set it up this way so people can choose whichever platform works best for them.
At the end of the day, my goal is to make sure every supporter feels seen and valued—not just as a customer, but as part of the Noble Mansions community.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Before I ever started my own brand, I had already built a name for myself through basketball, reselling and shoes. I was known for having hype sneakers and clothing, especially Supreme. Back then, I would buy on Thursday’s drop and by the time it arrived the following week, I’d put together a fit, shoot it, and post it right away. It became a routine, and at that time, that’s how a lot of people were building influence online.
That consistency worked in my favor. It helped me grow a following on social media and gave me credibility—not just nationally, but especially in my small city where people recognized me as someone who was serious about fashion. So when I launched my first brand, Prosper, it gained traction quickly. By the time I introduced Noble Mansions, there was already anticipation. People were ready to support, no questions asked.
I think what really built my reputation was being consistent and fully committed to the culture. I didn’t just pop in and out—I was in the game every day, and people could see that. That consistency let others know I was serious about what I was doing, and it carried over when I launched my own brand.
