We recently connected with Lynn Case and have shared our conversation below.
Lynn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’re complete cheeseballs and so we love asking folks to share the most heartwarming moment from their career – do you have a touching moment you can share with us?
I was about 4 years into being a Personal Trainer and while training clients out on the bluffs in Santa Monica, I saw my future self. I didn’t know this at this time. At that time I was simply concerned with giving my client a great workout. There was an older woman (probably in her mid 70’s) and I always saw her come to the park around the same time I would be working. What I noticed initially was her great choice in workout outfits, her perfectly coiffed hair, her confident walk and her smile. I regret never formally saying hello or anything more than just friendly smiles and acknowledgements back and forth, but for years she just kept showing up to do her own workout. The reason I say I saw my future self is that without having any formal communication she showed me what was possible. What was possible for my health in the future was strength and resiliency. If I just stuck with this lifestyle it would allow me to live a vibrant life full of possibility and not loss of mobility or confidence. This woman still to this day doesn’t know this incredible perspective she gifted me and this perspective plays out in how I show up as a trainer, nutrition coach, mother and wife.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Lynn Case, a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Personal Trainer based in Culver City. I’ve been working in the fitness and wellness space since 2009, and my journey into this field started because I had just gone through a transformation myself and I wanted to help others do the same. Over time, I realized that true, lasting change isn’t just about workouts or diet plans—it’s about addressing the whole person: nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, relationships and mindset. That realization led me to pursue my certification through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and to create Lynn Case Wellness, where I bring together my 15+ years of experience in personal training and running a fitness franchise (FIT4MOM Santa Monica) with holistic coaching to support women, particularly in midlife.
I offer a blend of 1:1 personal training, nutrition coaching, and lifestyle transformation, both locally around West LA and online. My clients often come to me feeling stuck—they’ve tried diets, group classes, or quick fixes but struggle to see results that last. The problems I solve are not just about “losing weight” or “getting toned,” but helping women speak to their true desires and finally feel free to be energized, strong, and confident in their own skin again. Together we build sustainable routines that fit their lifestyle. That is the key- it has to become a safe space that they can come back to again and again, iterate on what used to work and tap into what works now.
What sets me apart is my integrative approach. I combine evidence-based strength training protocols with nutrition strategies like balancing blood sugar for better metabolic health and hormone balance, while also focusing on sleep, stress management, and daily habits. I believe in coaching with empathy, helping women learn how to listen to their bodies and take control of their health in a way that feels empowering, not overwhelming.
For anyone getting to know me or my brand for the first time, I’d want them to know that Lynn Case Wellness is about more than workouts or nutrition plans—it’s about giving women the tools and support to thrive in midlife and beyond. My mission is to help women reclaim their strength, vitality, and sense of knowing so they can enjoy life like they want to.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Honestly, beyond certifications and training, the most important thing in this field is connection and empathy. People don’t just hire a coach for workouts or a meal plan—they hire someone who understands their struggles, sees them as a whole person, and can meet them where they’re at. Especially working with women in midlife, there are so many layers—hormonal changes, busy family lives, careers, stress—and having the ability to really listen and hold space is what creates trust and long-term results.
I also think consistency and authenticity are huge. In fitness and nutrition, there are always new trends and quick fixes, but clients can tell when you genuinely care and when you’re walking the talk yourself. Staying grounded in your values, practicing what you preach, and showing up for your clients again and again matters more than any certification on the wall.
For me, the combination of empathy, communication, and consistency has been just as important—if not more important—than the technical knowledge I bring.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think what’s helped me build my reputation is being consistent, approachable, and real. I’ve been in the fitness world for over 15 years, and my clients know I practice what I preach but also keep it relatable—I understand the challenges of busy schedules, family life, and midlife changes because I’m living it too.
Word of mouth has been huge for me. Many of my clients come from referrals. I don’t push quick fixes or gimmicks. I focus on building sustainable habits and creating a safe, encouraging space for women to thrive. That honesty and holistic approach has helped me earn trust with a new client and I think that’s key.
