We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bijan. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bijan below.
Bijan, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Biggest risk is cashing out my 401K and investing everything I have into my music career, clothing brand, and building community. I was laid off from a big corporation because of the shift to AI. I’m risking everything I’ve invested in to live out my dreams. I’m putting the work in, putting everything on the table and betting on myself and my family (team). I have no fall back plan and no other options but to risk it all and walk by faith in leading. We’ll have to do a follow up to see how it turns out…

Bijan, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I was introduced to music at an early age when music was transforming to digital. Fifth grade was when i made my first beat on a computer and wrote my first song with a music teacher in elementary school. I fell in love with production and writing music and found my first success in high school dropping mixtapes and becoming a finalists for 106.1 Kmel’s Bay Area Big Shot contest. I later moved to LA to finish college, start a radio show, and ended up with a gig at a big corporation in the music industry. I learned quickly that my calling was to empower and instill pride in my hometown of Fairfield Ca. I started cultivating a brand and community who love Fairfield and came up with Fairfield I Love U, a city centric movement spreading love with fashion and apparel with my brother. We’ve sponsored students to college workshops and given back to high schools through donation and community events. We opened our flagship store in 2020 and have become a staple in the community for hope, pride and love.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The mission is to empower the youth in northern california and provide infrastructure to assist the next generations of creatives .

Have you ever had to pivot?
I’ve pivoted in many instances in life but music has been constant. Music always finds a way to being a blessing to me and help my career as a creative. In 2020 we opened out flagship store Fairfield I Love U and had to instantly pivot due to covid. We started sponsoring seniors and established ourselves as a creative space. We now are essentials to showcasing the community’s music excellence and a mainstay for bringing in business to the city but also spreading awareness as to what Fairfield has to offer.
