The kindest thing anyone has ever done for me was believe in me enough to push me to my goals and passions. My mentor, who is like a mother to me, always believed in me even when I doubted myself. Since the very first day I met her, without even knowing who I was. She believed in me and added me to her projects and shows. Lighter Travels

A few years ago, on a New Year’s trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, we were standing in line to buy tickets for an attraction called Anakeesta. We were on a tight budget, and as we waited, a man in front of us turned around and asked how many were in our party. When we told him “two,” he handed us two tickets, explaining that a couple of his family members weren’t going to make it and he didn’t want them to go to waste. We offered to pay, but he kindly refused. Thanks to his generosity, we spent one of the most memorable days on the mountain, watching the final sunset of the year.
