Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to AMINA OLALEKAN. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
AMINA, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
“It really started with a heart of service. Long before I thought of it as a business, I was simply helping people build their brands. I was advising them on what to do, offering probono support, and even connecting brands together. It began as a passion and a leading from God.
As I kept serving, I noticed that people didn’t just need strategies for their businesses, they also needed clarity, confidence, and direction for their personal lives. Many times, a branding conversation would turn into a coaching moment, where I was helping them see their potential, heal from self-doubt, and step into purpose. That was when I realized this wasn’t just about marketing or media, it was also about transformation.
So, I leaned into coaching. I got trained, refined my skills, and began to officially offer coaching alongside branding. The two naturally worked together. While SBC helped people and businesses show up well externally, coaching helped them grow internally, to match the image they wanted to present.
Those early days were filled with learning and stretching. I had to set up structures, create programs, register the business, build an online presence, and move from free service to paid service. It was step by step, but each step confirmed that this was exactly where I was called to be.
Today, what started as acts of service has become a platform that empowers people in two dimensions. Through branding, we help businesses stand out in the digital space, and through coaching, we help individuals unlock their potential and walk in purpose

AMINA, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Amina Olalekan and I am popularly known as a midwife of destiny because I help people birth vision and purpose. Many also call me a transformational catalyst because you cannot have a conversation with me and not experience a mindset shift. That is truly at the core of who I am and what I do.
My journey into this work started with a heart of service. I was advising people on how to position themselves, supporting them in building their brands, and offering probono guidance. It began as a passion and a leading from God, and over time it grew into Social Brand Consult, the company I now lead.
Through SBC, we provide services such as brand management, content creation, ghostwriting, publishing, social media strategy, and design. But beyond that, I also work deeply with individuals through coaching. My coaching helps people find clarity, build confidence, and align their personal growth with their professional goals.
What makes my work different is the holistic blend of branding and coaching. It’s not just about giving you a logo, a strategy, or social media content. It’s about helping you step into your true voice, walk in purpose, and then express that purpose in a way that the world can see. In other words, we don’t just work on the outside of a brand, we nurture the inside of the person.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of mentoring more than 30,000 people, publishing multiple books, and training thousands of entrepreneurs through my financial hub. These are achievements I am proud of, but more than the numbers, I am proud of the lives that have been transformed and the visions that have been birthed.
If there is one thing I want people to know about me and my brand, it is this: when you work with me, you are not just signing up for services, you are stepping into a space of transformation. You will walk away not only with solutions for your brand but with clarity, confidence, and the courage to fulfill your destiny. www.aminaolalekan.com , you can search me up online, connect on Instagram or Facebook

Any advice for managing a team?
“My advice for managing a team and maintaining high morale is to lead with both vision and empathy. People don’t just want to be told what to do, they want to feel that their work matters and that they are part of something bigger than themselves. As a leader, it’s important to communicate the vision clearly and consistently so that everyone knows why they are doing what they do.
At the same time, you must prioritize the people behind the work. Take time to listen, to recognize their efforts, and to create an atmosphere where they feel valued. A motivated team is not built only on salaries or benefits, but on trust, respect, and the sense that they belong.
I also believe in celebrating small wins. When a team sees that their contribution is recognized, it fuels them to give more. Finally, I model the culture I want to see. If I want my team to be creative, collaborative, and committed, then I must show up with those qualities first. High morale is not accidental, it is cultivated intentionally through leadership, appreciation, and shared purpose.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One story that stands out in my journey is when I first launched my business. In the early days, I faced setback after setback. There were months when clients didn’t come in, times when I questioned if I had made the right decision, and moments when the pressure to give up was real.
But instead of quitting, I leaned into resilience. I reminded myself why I started: it was never just about money, it was about service and destiny. I went back to the drawing board, restructured my offers, invested in learning, and kept showing up even when it felt like no one was watching.
Looking back now, those seasons of struggle built muscles in me that no classroom could. They taught me persistence, creativity, and how to turn obstacles into stepping stones. Today, every time I coach someone or help them build their brand, I draw strength from that experience. My resilience wasn’t built in easy seasons, it was forged through process and the help of God; that is why I can now help others walk through their own tough moments and still rise.
