Alright, Devin thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

My mission is to make art accessible to all and return it back to how it use to be with art being at the forefront of society. The reason why I strive for these goals is because I truly believe that the society and the communities we so greatly rely on. Having done public art in my own community I’ve seen the effect first hand and it is beautiful.

Devin , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Devin Edwards, I am an artist from the Eastside of Kansas City. Iv’e been practicing art for about 20 years and professionally for 8 years. My art style is based on Popart and Cartoon expressionism.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I wasn’t ever the best artist in my class, but I believe that is one of the reasons why I succeeded in my craft. Being the least talented meant I to work harder to reach the progress of my classmates which then instilled a discipline in my craft that has helped me through out life.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

There was a time when I still was working my regular job, a snowstorm had hit the city as I was putting on my shoes and uniform is when it hit me, Why not take the chance what could be the worst thing that could happen? Then and there I took the leap and never looked back. That event let me know that what your looking for that would change your life is most likely already there inside you.
