We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Beth Bobinski a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Beth thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about your team building process? How did you recruit and train your team and knowing what you know now would you have done anything differently?
When I first opened the doors to our women’s-only boutique studio, it was just me and a handful of dedicated instructors. In those early days, I personally led nearly 140 classes a month, pouring my energy into every single one. My goal was simple but powerful: create a space where women could come together, move, grow, and support each other.
Today, I’m proud to say our community has blossomed into a team of 20 incredible female instructors leading nearly 300 classes every month. From the very beginning, I’ve been intentional about who joins our team. I choose women whose values align with our vision—positivity, inclusivity, and mutual support.
At our studio, culture is everything. We’re transparent, collaborative, and open. Whether it’s making decisions about classes, events, or even something as small as cleaning the windows, I share it with my team. We rise together. I am not the “boss on a pedestal”—I’m an everyday woman with an idea and a passion to build something meaningful.
From day one, I made it clear: this is a positive-vibes-only space. Negativity has no place here, because it can spread quickly and undo the supportive community we’ve built. Our mission is to keep the dream alive—to support one another and bring true wellness, connection, and empowerment to the women of our community.
Beth , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
As a registered nurse with a deep passion for health and wellness, I am thrilled to share my vision for empowering women on their wellness journeys. With years of experience in healthcare, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative effects of holistic health practices.
My mission is to create a supportive and inspiring environment where women prioritize their health, nurture their bodies, and discover their best selves. Through Destination Wellness, we offer a truly encompassing approach—combining fitness, connection, and everything a woman needs to flourish.
At the heart of our studio is community. I believe in fostering a space where women connect, inspire, and uplift one another as they pursue their wellness goals. Over the last two years, I’ve watched this dream come to life and have been humbled by the countless success stories shared within our community.
Women have expressed their gratitude through tears, heartfelt words, and letters describing how Destination Wellness has changed their lives for the better. More than a fitness studio, we’ve created a safe women’s-only environment where movement, connection, and healing happen—physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building a strong social media presence involves several strategic steps: 1. Define Your Brand: Establish a clear brand identity and voice that reflects your values and resonates with your audience.
2. Know Your Audience: Identify your target audience and tailor your content to their interests and preferences.
3. Consistent Posting: Develop a content calendar and post regularly to keep your audience engaged and informed.
4. Engage Authentically: Respond to comments and messages promptly, and engage in conversations to foster community.
5. Utilize Visuals: Use high-quality images, videos, and graphics to make your content more appealing and shareable.
6. Collaborate with Influencers: Partner with influencers in your niche to expand your reach and credibility.
7. Analyze and Adapt: Use analytics tools to track performance and adjust your strategy based on insights gained.
8. Promote Cross-Platform: Share content across different platforms to reach a wider audience while adapting it to suit each platform’s unique style.
By being consistent and authentic, you can effectively build and nurture your social media presence.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Word of Mouth & Referrals
Happy members sharing their experience is the #1 driver.
Consider a referral program (“Bring a Friend,” or rewards for every new client brought in).
The emotional stories you mentioned (letters, tears, gratitude) are marketing gold—when women hear other women’s lives were changed, they want in.
Social Media (Instagram & Facebook)
Wellness is highly visual and community-oriented, so photos of classes, testimonials, and behind-the-scenes culture posts resonate.
Instagram Reels/TikTok snippets of class energy or instructor highlights can be powerful.
Community Partnerships
Local coffee shops, women-owned businesses, boutiques, and healthcare providers (OB/GYNs, therapists, chiropractors) are natural referral partners.
Hosting wellness workshops or pop-up classes in the community helps reach new audiences.
Events & Open Houses
“Wellness Weekends,” free community classes, or women’s empowerment events draw in curious first-timers who later become loyal members.
Local PR & Media
Human-interest stories (like women writing to you about how your studio changed their lives) can attract local news, lifestyle magazines, or podcasts.
These reach women who value meaning-driven businesses.
Google & Local SEO
Many women search “women’s fitness near me” or “wellness studio [your city].”
Having a strong Google Business Profile with reviews from your members helps you show up first.
