Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Roba Salem. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Roba, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
I was raised in a home full of conflict, and it left me searching for a way to feel at peace.
That search led me to study psychology, yoga, and other healing sciences. Along the way, I learned an important truth: complete peace belongs to paradise, but here on earth, we can create balance — in our minds, our bodies, and our thoughts.
I wanted to share that discovery with others.
Through breathing techniques, yoga movements, therapy, massage, reflexology, nutrition, and even working together on personal goals, I help people reconnect with themselves and restore harmony to their lives.
Everything I’ve learned — whether studied, practiced, or experienced — became part of one mission: helping people live in balance, no matter which part of their life feels out of place.

Roba, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m 38 years old, and my journey began during university, when I studied psychology to understand myself and the people I connected with. That curiosity led me to study energy healing Pranic Healing and Reiki which taught me how to feel my students’ energy, both emotional and physical, especially when adjusting them in yoga classes.
I began practicing yoga in 2009 and traveled twice to India, in 2014 and 2019, to deepen my studies in yoga therapy. I also traveled to Nepal, where I teach yoga therapy detox programs focused on improving digestion at Ashram. After 2019, during the COVID lockdowns, I continued learning online studying anatomy, Ashtanga yoga in USA , and later, in 2023, neuroscience with my teacher from London.
In August 2018, my younger brother passed away. He was the youngest of my siblings, and I carried deep guilt and shame, feeling I had failed to give him the care he needed. For an entire year, I couldn’t step onto my mat because I had to face myself every time I tried. One of my friends encouraged me to try Ashtanga yoga. I wasn’t a fan before, but this time it changed everything. I didn’t have to write my own sequence as I did in Hatha or therapy yoga I simply followed the series. Each day was different, and every practice challenged me. My flexibility grew, my self-esteem strengthened, and I realized that every yoga style can serve us at different stages of life. We just need to stay open to trying.
To heal further, I attended two 10-day silent meditation retreats, which helped me release the hidden pain of my brother’s death. I also explored acupuncture, which worked like magic to free emotions stuck deep inside me.
Today, I guide a wide range of students through private sessions, retreats, group classes, gym programs, and online sessions. Many come to me with physical concerns like back pain, shoulder tension, or digestive issues, while others face emotional challenges like depression or anxiety. By combining breathwork, movement, psychology, and a deep understanding of energy, I help them reconnect with their bodies, restore balance, and build lasting confidence.
One student’s story stays close to my heart. She came to me feeling depressed, isolated, and convinced she didn’t deserve anything good in life. Over six months, we worked on heart-opening backbends to build self-trust, grounding poses for stability, and simple psychology tips to reshape her mindset. Her energy completely changed she started journaling, spending time with herself, reconnecting socially, and even making new friends after years of isolation.
What makes my work unique is that I create personalized programs tailored to each student’s time, goals, and level. My mission is to help people feel a real difference mentally, physically, and emotionally and to remind them that life, like yoga, is about balance and being open to growth at every stage.
