We were lucky to catch up with Ina Allen-Bowden recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ina, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Growing up, the world was loud about who it thought I should be.
Between social media, unrealistic beauty standards, and constant comparison, I spent years quietly questioning myself, picking apart what I looked like, what I didn’t look like, and who I was becoming. The pressure to be “perfect” led me down a path of doubt, insecurity, and covering up what made me me. Like so many girls, I didn’t feel seen unless I was edited, filtered, or made up to fit someone else’s idea of beauty.
But somewhere along the way, I found my way back to myself. I paused. I unlearned. And I started to see that my natural features, the parts I once hid, were actually the most powerful parts of me.
That’s the heartbeat behind Very Much Natural.
This isn’t just a beauty brand … it’s a mission to help women and young girls embrace who they really are, without apology. Through clean, organic, and minimal beauty products, we’re reminding women that they don’t need to hide… they need to highlight. They deserve to feel beautiful in their own skin, using products that protect, heal, and honor their natural glow.
I’ve lived this story. I’ve felt the pressure, the pain, and now the peace that comes with embracing yourself fully. That’s why this brand exists… not just to sell products, but to spark a movement rooted in self-love, confidence, and freedom.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hey my name is Ina, founder of Very Much Natural a clean beauty brand created out of my own journey with insecurity, comparison, and harmful beauty products. After dealing with eye infections and skin issues caused by products I thought were safe, I realized something had to change… not just for me, but for other women, too.
Very Much Natural offers gentle, cruelty-free, natural products like lash serum and biotin mascara that enhance your beauty without hiding who you are. But we’re more than a beauty brand… we’re a movement rooted in self-love and community.
What makes us different is the heart behind what we do. I’ve lived the pressure to be “perfect,” and now I’m proud to help women and girls embrace their natural features and feel confident in their skin. My biggest pride isn’t just the products it’s the community we’re building. We’re here to remind women your natural is more than enough.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
All capital is coming from my current “9-5″. We are seeking capital to apply towards marketing and inventory. We are currently conducting a crowd fund with iFundWomen as ” The Change In Beauty”.

We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.
Our products are currently being sold on our website at verymuchorgranic.com. The pros about selling ecom I am able to provide our products internationally and the cons are not being able to have that face to face connection with our customers and what we have been doing more of is participating in pop up shops and showing up within our community.
