In our view there is already a ton of coverage of the trends that ivory tower professors and billionaire fund managers are seeing. What’s the edge in hearing the billionaire consensus view over and over again?
The edge comes from hearing new perspectives and new information like from the wedding planner who has worked with hundreds of couples during the pandemic and has noticed that couples are allocating significantly more of their wedding budgets on “small details” like personalized neon signs and eco-friendly customized digital invitations rather than paper invites. Or the accountant seeing how there’s a huge uptick in ecommerce clients generating revenue from in person popups.
Below, you’ll find some of the most thoughtful entrepreneurs and creatives in across various industries and markets sharing the trends they are seeing.

A growing trend in the beauty industry is shifting the focus from surface-level treatments to something far more powerful: biostimulation. In the realm of aesthetic laser technology, this means using targeted heat energy to create controlled micro-injuries in the deeper layers of the skin. While that may sound intense, it’s actually a highly effective way to trigger the body’s natural healing process—specifically, the production of collagen. Known as collagen induction, this process strengthens the skin from within, improving tone, texture, and overall resilience. Read more>>

One of the most alarming trends I’m seeing is the emotional fragility of today’s teens and young adults. This isn’t a criticism, but more of a reflection of how we’ve raised them. We’ve created a generation that is totally unprepared for real life, and it’s costing them dearly. Parents are so afraid of their kids experiencing discomfort or struggling that we’ve overprotected them to the point of harm. We fix their problems, smooth their paths, and now they can barely navigate ordering lunch and deciding between sushi or a salad. These are very capable kids, but they have never been allowed to make choices and deal with the consequences. Read more>>

The biggest trend I am seeing is direct from China sales + amazon fashion is destroying the fashion industry and small business. It is gutting everything that makes fashion/clothing unique or special. It is going to crush the boutique end of the small business economy, take away jobs and anything unique and interesting and removes experience from shopping. It creates unrealistic expectations in the dollar value to clothing, making it seem like a dress for $20 is ethical or sustainable – which it isn’t. It removes the human experience on multiple levels because it forgets that a human has to make that dress for $20, which everyone wants to ignore the conditions that exist in order for that person to make a dress for that price. One of the biggest trends I’m seeing in the entertainment media space is the growing demand for authenticity on social media. Audiences are no longer gravitating toward overly curated or ‘perfect’ content. Instead, they’re seeking out raw, real, unfiltered moments that feel human and relatable. It’s actually kind of ironic when you think about it, people are searching for real connection through their phones rather than in person. But that’s the landscape we’re in now, and it’s a huge opportunity. Read more>>
