Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rochelle Robinson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Rochelle, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
. The idea for Chamomile & Lace came from a mix of passion, curiosity, and a need I saw in my own life. I’ve always loved beautiful, well-made things, and I’ve always been drawn to the ritual of self-care. But when I looked for products that were both luxurious and gentle — something that felt special but was also safe and nourishing for the skin — I kept coming up short.
I started experimenting with soapmaking as a creative outlet, and while it was a challenge at first, I fell in love with the process. I realized I could blend my artistic side with my love for quality ingredients to create products that not only looked and smelled amazing, but also truly cared for the skin. From there, the vision for Chamomile & Lace grew — a brand where every product is made with intention, tells a story, and turns an everyday routine into a moment of luxury.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Rochelle Sears Robinson, and I’m the founder and creative director of Chamomile & Lace, an artisan bath, body, and home fragrance brand based in Frisco, Texas. I’ve always been drawn to creativity, design, and the way sensory experiences — like scent, texture, and color — can influence mood and make everyday life feel more special.
My journey into this industry started with a deep love for handcrafted goods and a desire to create products that were both beautiful and beneficial. When I began learning how to make soap, it was a challenge — the process required precision, patience, and plenty of trial and error. But that challenge sparked a passion. I realized I could combine my creative side with my interest in high-quality, skin-loving ingredients to create something truly unique. Over time, my product range expanded to include body butters, scrubs, bath bombs, shower steamers, wax melts, candles, and more — all designed to elevate self-care into a daily ritual.
Chamomile & Lace offers more than just products — we provide experiences. Whether it’s a soothing milk bath to unwind after a long day, a luxurious body butter to nourish the skin, or a home fragrance that transforms the mood of a space, every item is made with care and intention. My goal is to solve the problem so many people face: finding high-quality, handcrafted self-care products that feel indulgent but are also safe, gentle, and effective.
What sets Chamomile & Lace apart is the attention to detail in every aspect — from ingredient selection to scent blending to the final presentation. I’m intentional about using premium, thoughtfully sourced materials, and I design each collection to tell a story or evoke a certain mood. It’s about creating that moment of pause and enjoyment in the midst of busy lives.
I’m most proud of the trust and loyalty our customers have shown. Many come back time and again, not just because they love how the products perform, but because they feel a genuine connection to the brand. That’s the heart of Chamomile & Lace — it’s built on creativity, quality, and community.
What I want people to know about me and my brand is that this is a labor of love. I truly believe in the power of small, intentional moments of self-care, and I believe as women we can accomplish anything we set our minds to. Chamomile & Lace is my way of bringing beauty, comfort, and a touch of luxury into people’s everyday lives — because everyone deserves to feel special.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One moment that stands out was early in my journey, when I had signed up for one of my first large vendor markets. I had been working for weeks to prepare inventory, and just days before the event, a batch of my soap completely failed — it didn’t set right, the texture was off, and it couldn’t be sold. I remember staring at it, feeling that sinking, defeated feeling, because I didn’t have time to replace it at a normal pace.
Instead of giving up or scaling back my booth, I rolled up my sleeves, stayed up late for several nights in a row, and reformulated the batch to not only meet the deadline but improve the recipe. It was exhausting, but when the event came, I had a full display, and that soap ended up being one of my best-sellers.
That experience taught me that setbacks are never the end — they’re an opportunity to adapt, get creative, and push through. Resilience, for me, is about staying committed to the vision even when the process isn’t easy, and believing that the hard moments often lead to your best work.

Have you ever had to pivot?
A big pivot for me happened during the early stages of Chamomile & Lace. I originally focused almost entirely on body butters, thinking that would be the signature product that defined my brand. But as I started selling at markets and listening to my customers, I realized people were looking for a full self-care experience — not just body butter, but soaps, scrubs, bath bombs, and even home fragrance.
It meant stepping outside of my comfort zone, learning entirely new formulation methods, and investing in new equipment. It also meant rethinking my branding so that Chamomile & Lace could be seen as a complete self-care and lifestyle brand instead of a single-product shop.
That pivot completely changed the direction of the business. Not only did it help me reach a wider audience, but it also allowed me to tap into my creativity in new ways. It taught me that listening to your customers and being willing to adapt is one of the most powerful tools you can have as an entrepreneur.
