Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amoreena Berg. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Amoreena thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When you were first starting out, did you join a firm or start your own?
Jumping into real estate from being a psychotherapist for years was a rather exciting experience and a risky experience for me. I started studying for my exam right before the pandemic in January 2020, it was something I had been considering for years since my parents team had done rather well locally. I made the choice to join their team with Pacific Sotheby’s International as soon as I finished my real estate courses and exam. The brand recognition of Pacific Sotheby’s is definitely one that is instantly known in the industry and respected. As a new agent to me this was a critical component to my success. The firm has some of the most talented professionals that have high standards which again aligned with who I am and who I want to be as an agent. I was also impressed with the international networks and global media partnerships which would elevate my marketing opportunities. I did enter real estate at a rather challenging time with little inventory, no open houses and had to navigate the trials and tribulations of Covid19. While all of this has had some hurdles I consider my first year with over 5.5mil in sales to me a success!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I started my career in Northern California as a psychotherapist (licensed MFT since 2004) professional photographer, and a social media marketing veteran. I received my Bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara, along with my Masters in Psychology at Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
I wanted to combine the creative part of myself while still being able to work with people and found that real estate would be a great fit! I have moved numerous times myself, during childhood and as an adult, which has helped me gain extensive knowledge of the selling and buying process.
I decided to join her family’s team with Pacific Sotheby’s International since they are recognized worldwide as one the most prestigious brands in real estate.
I am dedicated to providing my clients with the best service and experience. With my clinical background I am well versed in emotional situations and can easily navigate as well as help clients through what can be an emotional journey. In a complex real estate transaction, I guide and work hard for your buying or selling needs.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
At the end of the day everyone knows someone who is a real estate agent, but for me the best way to grow clientele is to be authentic and to show value. Being honest and trustworthy I believe is one of the most important things in real estate. My job isn’t just to sell someone a house, that is easy, my job is really to sell you a lifestyle you want. It is to help guide you through one of the most difficult financial decisions you will make in the next 3-5 years. That process alone is emotional and stressful for most people and if you don’t have a relationship with your agent or you don’t trust them to guide you in the right direction than it can be a disaster. So currently I work on building my relationships in my community and building trust with others as a knowledgeable real estate agent.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of clients for me has been word of mouth and my network. I am grateful for my friends and family to trust me in their real estate transactions and hope to continue to grow my business.
