Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to N’Dera Cobbs. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
N’Dera, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My platform was born from my own journey of healing—physically, mentally, and spiritually. What started as a personal mission to take back control of my health after battling PCOS, depression, anxiety, food addiction, and suicidal thoughts, has now become a safe space for women who are ready to reclaim their power and transform their lives.
I created this platform to inspire and guide women who feel lost, overwhelmed, or stuck in their bodies. Through real, raw storytelling and proven wellness strategies, I share how consistency, self-love, and daily discipline helped me overcome darkness and reshape my body, mind, and future.
My mission is to empower women to rise through their pain, discover their strength, and experience total transformation from the inside out. This is more than weight loss—it’s about healing, awakening, and becoming the woman you were always meant to be.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
How I Got Into the Fitness & Mindset Coaching Space
I didn’t get into fitness just to “look good.” I got into this space because I was fighting for my life—mentally, emotionally, and physically. At my heaviest, I weighed 262 pounds. I was lost, battling PCOS, depression, anxiety, food addiction, and silently struggling with suicidal thoughts. I had completely let myself go… but something inside of me refused to give up.
Through small, consistent changes, discipline, and a deep commitment to healing, I lost 100 pounds—but more importantly, I found me. I created routines, reprogrammed my mindset, and made decisions that supported the woman I wanted to become. I didn’t wait to feel motivated—I chose to stay committed. Even when it was hard. Even when no one was clapping for me.
That’s why I do what I do today.
I now offer mindset and fitness coaching for women who need extra support, clarity, and guidance—especially those struggling with PCOS, hormonal imbalances, emotional eating, or self-worth issues. I help you figure out what actually works for your body, your life, and your goals. No more one-size-fits-all plans. You deserve a personalized, empowering experience that helps you finally feel in control again.
What sets me apart is that I’ve been at the bottom. I’ve lived in a body I didn’t love and battled a mind that told me I couldn’t change. But I did change. I chose to love myself through the process, not just at the finish line. I made the journey fun. I fell in love with creating the highest version of me—not just for aesthetics, but for my daughter, my purpose, and my peace.
This journey isn’t just about weight loss. It’s about transformation. It’s about taking yourself from darkness to light and realizing that faith plus action can take you anywhere.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I had to unlearn was believing I was limited—by my body, by my past, by my circumstances, and even by what I thought I deserved.
For a long time, I truly believed there were things I just wasn’t capable of. I told myself stories like:
“I’ll always struggle with my weight.”
“I’m not disciplined enough.”
“I’ll never be one of those confident women.”
“I’m too far gone.”
Those beliefs weren’t facts—they were fears. Fears rooted in pain, trauma, and years of feeling like I had to shrink myself just to be accepted.
The turning point came when I hit 262 pounds and was at one of the darkest emotional lows of my life. Depression. Anxiety. Food addiction. Suicidal thoughts. I was drowning—and still telling myself that I wasn’t enough to save myself. But deep down, something shifted. I got tired of my own limitations. I realized I couldn’t keep waiting for permission to change my life.
So I started doing the work.
Mentally. Physically. Spiritually.
And I began unlearning everything that made me doubt my worth.
Now, I know I’m capable of anything I commit to.
I’ve lost over 100 pounds. I built a brand that inspires women. I show up daily, not just for my goals—but for the version of me who used to believe she couldn’t.
That’s the real transformation—replacing the lies in your head with the truth of who you are. And reminding yourself every day that you are not your limitations.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
There was a moment in my life that changed everything.
My daughter was just 2 years old when her father physically assaulted me in front of her. It was one of the darkest, most painful moments I’ve ever experienced—and it didn’t stop there. After the assault, he kicked me out of the home we shared, put my belongings into storage, and filed a restraining order against me. Not only was I homeless, living out of a hotel for two weeks, but I had also just started a new job—and I wasn’t allowed to see my own child for 30 days.
On top of everything, he tried to take full custody of her. I was devastated. It felt like my entire world had collapsed in a matter of days.
But something in me refused to let that be the end of my story.
Instead of giving up, I got to work.
I channeled every ounce of pain, heartbreak, and fear into rebuilding myself.
I chose to fight—not just legally, but spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.
I worked that new job like my life depended on it.
I began healing my body, mind, and heart—one step at a time.
I became a woman my daughter could be proud of.
I didn’t wait for someone to save me.
I became the woman who saved herself.
Eventually, I got my daughter back. I held her in my arms again and promised her that I would never let anything break me like that again. That was the beginning of everything—my fitness journey, my mindset transformation, my mission to help other women rise from their rock bottom and reclaim their power.
My story isn’t just about pain.
It’s about resilience.
It’s about choosing to rise, even when you have every reason to stay down.
And it’s a reminder to every woman reading this: no matter how broken you feel right now, you can rebuild. You can rise. You can transform.
I did it.
And now, I help others do the same.
