We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Anna ‘Sunshine’ Manring. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Anna ‘Sunshine’ below.
Anna ‘Sunshine’ , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Right now, I run Soul Flow Teaches, a wellness brand rooted in embodiment, meditation, and intuitive healing. But starting it was a huge risk. I stepped into this space with nothing but a vision — no investors, no perfect plan, and no guarantee it would work.
What I did have was a calling. I had moved through deep personal healing. grief, becoming a mother, identity shifts, and I knew I couldn’t keep that wisdom to myself. I started sharing what helped me reconnect to my inner truth. I wasn’t selling flexibility or quick fixes. I was offering presence, safety, and real self-trust.
Building this hasn’t been easy. I’m still navigating the balance of parenting and entrepreneurship. But I show up every day because this work matters. The real risk would have been ignoring that inner pull.
Soul Flow Teaches is more than a business. It’s a way of life, a legacy, and a space where others get to remember who they are, just like I did.

Anna ‘Sunshine’ , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Anna, but most people know me as Sunshine; a name that reflects both the light I aim to bring and the warmth I hold in my work. I’m the founder of Soul Flow Teaches, a wellness brand dedicated to helping people reconnect with their inner guidance through yoga, meditation, breathwork, energy healing, and intuitive mentoring. My approach is rooted in embodiment, self-trust, and soul alignment.
I’ve been practicing yoga and meditation since I was 15 years old. For me, these weren’t just practices, they were lifelines. Over the years, they helped me navigate trauma, identity shifts, motherhood, and grief. In 2020, I experienced a major turning point when I lost my father just two weeks before becoming a mother. That chapter cracked me open and deepened my connection to healing, ancestry, and the unseen.
In 2023, I became certified as a yoga and meditation teacher, completing 200 hours in both, with additional studies in Ayurveda and energy work. That training allowed me to take what had personally transformed me and offer it to others in a grounded and professional way.
What I offer:
•Embodiment Flow Yoga — intuitive movement and breath designed to support nervous system regulation and spiritual connection
•Somatic Meditation & Breathwork — tools for calming the mind, expanding awareness, and anchoring into presence
•Energy Healing — sound, frequency, and intuitive alignment to support energetic clarity
•1:1 Mentoring — a blend of mindset coaching and spiritual guidance tailored to the individual
•Workshops & Online Offerings — created to help people reconnect to themselves on all levels
My philosophy is simple: I’m not here to “heal” you; I’m here to help you remember that you already carry the healer within you. That’s how I healed. I stopped outsourcing my wholeness and started listening inward. Now I help others do the same; through presence, movement, and spiritual reconnection.
What sets me apart is that I teach from lived experience, not just certification. I’ve walked through the dark and come out softer, not harder. I don’t just hold space; I live it. I offer something real, trauma-informed, spiritually rooted, and intuitively guided. I’m not here to make healing look perfect. I’m here to help it feel possible.
What I’m most proud of is building a brand that’s become a soft landing space for people craving depth, truth, and soul connection. Soul Flow Teaches isn’t just about wellness, it’s about remembering who you are underneath all the noise.
For anyone reading this: You don’t need to be “fixed” to be worthy. You don’t need to know all the answers to begin. You already have everything you need inside you, I’m just here to help you hear it more clearly.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the most defining moments of my life happened in 2020. I was pregnant with my first child when I received the call that my father had passed away unexpectedly. Two weeks later, I became a mother. I was holding both birth and death in the same breath; grieving my father while learning how to care for a newborn. That time cracked me wide open.
I didn’t have time to fully process. I was moving through sleepless nights, postpartum emotions, and waves of grief that would hit out of nowhere. The world was also in the middle of a global shutdown, and I felt completely isolated. No one was coming to save me. I had to sit with myself. And that’s where the deeper work began.
Yoga and meditation weren’t just tools, they were anchors. Breath by breath, I came back to myself. I learned to soften instead of shut down. I learned to feel it all, without letting it drown me. It wasn’t graceful. It wasn’t linear. But it was real.
That experience taught me that resilience isn’t about pushing through; it’s about allowing yourself to feel the full depth of what life hands you and choosing to grow from it anyway. That’s when Soul Flow Teaches was born; from my own healing, from choosing to create something meaningful out of my pain.
Now, I carry that with me into every session, every class, every offering. I know what it feels like to be broken open and I also know how powerful it is to rise, softer and more connected than before.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Yes, there are a couple of books that have deeply influenced the way I show up as both a healer and an entrepreneur.
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson helped me shift my mindset in a big way. As someone who used to be a chronic overthinker and people-pleaser, this book reminded me that I don’t have to pour energy into everything; I get to choose what matters. It gave me permission to create boundaries, protect my peace, and run my business in a way that actually feels good, instead of constantly trying to prove something. It taught me that clarity and focus come from letting go, not adding more.
The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz is another foundational one. It gave me a spiritual blueprint I return to over and over. The principles, especially “Don’t take anything personally” and “Always do your best”, have helped me stay in integrity with myself, even when things feel uncertain or vulnerable. As a solo entrepreneur, you’re often putting your heart on the line; this book helps me stay centered and remember that my worth isn’t tied to outcomes.
Both books, in very different ways, taught me how to lead with authenticity, intentionality, and self-responsibility, which are now the core values I bring into Soul Flow Teaches every day.
