We recently connected with Iryna Babych and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Iryna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s talk about innovation. What’s the most innovative thing you’ve done in your career?
In less than a year, I achieved what many take years to build — a strong personal brand, over 30 successful collaborations with U.S.-based businesses, and a unique education system that helps entrepreneurs grow through visual storytelling.
When I moved to the U.S. from Ukraine, I quickly realized that many small businesses struggle to present themselves online. They often can’t afford to work with professional photographers on a regular basis — but still need high-quality content to grow. That’s where I stepped in.
I began working with small brands, creating strategic visuals with minimal resources, using only my mobile device. As a photographer and content strategist, I have a strong visual instinct — I instantly see the frame, the story, and how to align it with a brand’s goals. This ability became the foundation of my signature approach.
I developed my own training methodology and launched three professional programs:
• Mobile Photography for Business – helping entrepreneurs create high-converting content on their own;
• Photography from Beginner to Pro – for aspiring creatives who want to turn photography into a career;
• Photo Retouching and Color Recreation – teaching the art of editing and visual consistency.
In addition to education, I created my own line of Lightroom presets to support visual branding for my clients and students. I also designed and built my personal website https://babych-photographer.com and recently launched my own media agency — to scale my vision and help more brands grow through aesthetic, strategic content.
This holistic approach — blending photography, education, design, and branding — is what makes my work stand out in today’s content-saturated market.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Iryna Babych, I’m a professional photographer, visual strategist, and founder of IREN Media — a creative agency based in Charlotte, North Carolina. I specialize in fashion and branding photography, helping personal brands and businesses grow through strategic and emotionally resonant visual content.
I started my journey in Ukraine, where I earned a Master’s degree in Law and worked in public service. However, photography was always more than a passion — it became my way of seeing the world and communicating without words. When I moved to the U.S., I realized that many small businesses struggle to present themselves online in a compelling and professional way. That’s when I turned my creative vision into a mission.
I work with small brands, creators, and entrepreneurs, helping them find their unique visual language. I see the story behind every product, and I instinctively know how to frame it — both literally and conceptually. My clients often say I capture not just images, but meaning.
Beyond photography, I’ve developed my own visual education system. I created three original programs:
• Mobile Photography for Business — teaching entrepreneurs how to create stunning content on their own;
• Photography from Beginner to Pro — guiding aspiring photographers step by step toward mastery;
• Photo Retouching and Color Recreation — focused on editing, color harmony, and brand consistency.
I’ve also designed a line of Lightroom presets that support visual storytelling and elevate my clients’ content.
In less than a year, I completed over 30 projects for U.S.-based brands and entrepreneurs. I launched my own website https://babych-photographer.com and creative agency IREN MEDIA AGENCY LLC to scale my impact, offering full-service solutions that combine photography, branding, content strategy, and design.
What sets me apart is my deep understanding of both aesthetics and business — I blend emotional intelligence, composition, and strategy into everything I create.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
When I moved to the U.S. from Ukraine, I had to rebuild everything from scratch. I turned my background in photography into more than just a service — I built a strategic visual brand rooted in emotional storytelling. Within a year, I launched my own media agency, created three original education programs, and worked with over 30 U.S. brands.
What sets me apart is that I teach others how to grow through visuals — not just by taking pretty photos, but by thinking like a brand. My work blends aesthetics, psychology, and strategy — and that’s what makes it powerful.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When the war began in Ukraine, I left behind my career, stability, and everything familiar — and moved to the U.S. with nothing but my vision and a camera. I had to start over in a new country, with no connections, no clients, and a new language to learn.
Instead of giving up, I used my creativity as my compass. I focused on helping small brands visually tell their stories and built everything from scratch — from my photography portfolio to a full-scale media agency. I created my own educational programs, developed digital products, and worked with over 30 American businesses in less than a year.
Resilience for me wasn’t just about surviving — it was about turning uncertainty into opportunity, and building something meaningful with what I had.
