Liz, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
The baskets were originally designed to up your bedroom life, however my own effort into making baskets we put an elegant twist on it. The main idea is to bring not only your darkest and deepest sexual desires or even some explored kinks, but this is also for your everyday gift baskets and even some for those bride’s maids and grooms’ men.
No matter the need, we have a little something for everyone
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I come from a line of strong women who are business owners. My Aunt Lala (Owner of Natural Elite Tresses) and my Aunt Denisha (The Grateful Brand/The Neeked Truth). My sister Kayla (Elite royal Stiches and Threads) and my Sister Day Day (LSK Elite Candles)
And this started out as a joke idea from a friend of mine, And I had told the ladies mentioned about the baskets because I think deep down, I REALLY wanted to do it but I didn’t know how. And when I brought it to them not only did they encourage me to do it. They sat down with me and helped me start bringing this business to life.
So here we are, In the process of launching and I couldn’t be more excited to see this come to life.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The erotic baskets initially I was very hesitant with. Because these are not your typical baskets. I want to encourage others to explore that dark fantasy side whether its bdsm, or just trying to spice it up in your love life.
I had to unlearn that it wasn’t okay to talk about this and sell these baskets in the public eye. Thats why for those who want a more subtle approach have the elegant baskets. So there really is something for everyone in each basket.
And each thing in this basket is sorted, stored, and checked before even put in the basket to make sure it is safe and fun whether its elegant or erotic.
