We recently connected with Shovon Ahmed and have shared our conversation below.
Shovon, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
Absolutely—I’m genuinely happy as a business owner. For me, it’s not just about running a business; it’s about doing what I love. My journey started with a deep interest in personal branding and SEO. Over the years, that interest evolved into a passion, and now it’s the foundation of everything I do.
I’ve helped hundreds of businesses and individuals build strong digital identities, from creating Google Knowledge Panels to optimizing their online presence for search. That process of turning ideas into visibility—of helping someone go from unknown to discoverable—is something I enjoy deeply. It’s never felt like a job. It’s a craft. I enjoy the challenge, the strategy, and the creativity it involves.
Of course, I respect the value of a regular job, but for me, the freedom to build something meaningful from scratch and watch it grow—like WikiGenius—is unmatched. I’m driven by purpose, not routine. That’s what keeps me going.

Shovon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Shovon Ahmed, an SEO strategist and digital branding professional. My journey started with a personal goal—to rank myself and my name on Google. In 2021, I successfully created my own Google Knowledge Panel, and that experience inspired a bigger mission: helping founders and entrepreneurs build their own digital identity. That’s how I got into SEO, Google Knowledge Panels, and personal branding.
Aside from my work in SEO, I’m also the founder of WikiGenius, an online encyclopedia that documents entrepreneurs, startups, and influential figures across the globe. WikiGenius is not an agency—it’s a knowledge platform built to give visibility to both rising and established personalities who might not meet the strict notability requirements of other encyclopedias like Wikipedia. It’s a space where stories are documented, and reputations are built.
In my SEO work, I focus on helping individuals and businesses appear and rank prominently on Google—using ethical, content-driven strategies. What sets me apart is that I’ve gone through the process myself and now empower others to take control of their online presence.
I’m proud of both sides of my journey: helping clients grow digitally and creating a platform like WikiGenius that contributes to the global knowledge ecosystem.
If there’s one thing I want people to know—it’s that this work is more than a job for me. It’s a passion to help others be seen, heard, and recognized online in a meaningful way.
Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
I don’t usually share this publicly, but let me tell you about one of my favorite marketing approaches—it’s simple but powerful.
Instead of pitching aggressively or trying to convince someone with words, I lead with action. I offer something first. In most cases, I give my potential clients a free trial or a sample of my work—completely no strings attached. Sometimes it’s an audit, a Knowledge Panel preview, or a small branding asset. It’s like a gift. I do it to show the value I bring, not just talk about it.
People are often surprised by it. They think I’m just being extra kind—and honestly, I am. I enjoy helping others. But it’s also part of my belief that good work speaks louder than a proposal. Once they see the quality, the effort, and the results, 90% of them come back and hire me for the long term.
It’s not a risky trick or a flashy tactic—it’s just human. And it works. This approach has built trust, strong relationships, and repeat business without having to “sell” in the traditional sense. I believe when you’re genuinely helpful, people remember you—and they come back.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
For me, client relationships don’t end after delivering a project—they begin there. I stay in touch with my clients regularly through personal check-ins, updates, and small follow-ups, even when there’s no active project. I use WhatsApp, email, or even voice notes—whatever feels natural to keep it warm and human.
I don’t believe in treating clients like transactions. I treat them like friends and long-term partners. I remember small details about their goals, their brands, and what matters to them. If I come across something useful—an SEO update, a Google feature, or a content opportunity—I send it over. No charge. No catch. Just value.
This kind of genuine connection builds trust and loyalty. They know I care about their growth, not just about the invoice. And that’s why many of my clients come back again and again—and even refer others.
I believe real loyalty comes when clients feel seen, heard, and supported. That’s always been my focus.
