We were lucky to catch up with Precious Monèt recently and have shared our conversation below.
Precious, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you tell us a story about a time you failed?
I’ve definitely known failure — several times, actually. Before I became “The Purpose Pusher,” a certified life coach, inspirational speaker, and author, I tried on many different hats in the entrepreneurial world. I launched a T-shirt business, dabbled in accessories, even started a project management and event planning business. At one point, I partnered with a close friend in business, only to realize we worked much better as friends than business partners. Then the pandemic hit, and everything came to a halt. I was lost. I didn’t know which way to go next.
Each of these ventures taught me something. But I won’t sugarcoat it — the journey was tough. I faced financial hardship, disappointment, betrayal, and more moments of self-doubt than I can count. But looking back, I now see those “failures” were redirections. They helped me shed what wasn’t aligned and step fully into who I was meant to be.
Those experiences helped me discover my purpose. Today, I get to help others find theirs. And while none of those early businesses took off the way I hoped, they paved the way for the impact I make now. Sometimes failure isn’t the end — it’s just the beginning in disguise.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
For a long time, I was running from my purpose. I knew I was called to something greater, but past experiences — betrayal, sabotage, and hurt, especially from women who looked like me — made me hesitant to fully step into my calling. I felt unsupported, unseen, and stuck. But instead of continuing to run, I made a decision to pause and do the inner work. I spent time with God, studied my Bible, meditated, and reflected deeply. And in that quiet space, I had a powerful realization: the very people I was running from — women who were hurting — were the exact people I was called to help. Because hurt people hurt people. And when you don’t know your purpose, you can feel lost, empty, or even competitive.
Once I embraced that truth, everything changed. I finally stepped into my divine purpose — to help others discover theirs. Today, I’m proud to be known as The Purpose Pusher — a certified life coach, inspirational speaker, and author. My work is rooted in helping people reconnect with who they truly are, uncover their passion, and walk boldly in their purpose.
Through my coaching programs, speaking engagements, and my book “Without Passion, What’s the Purpose? 5 Keys to Fuel the Fire That Burns Within You,” I help people who feel stuck, confused, or disconnected find clarity and confidence. My book guides readers through five essential keys to help them identify their strengths, trust their intuition, discover their life’s purpose, unlock true happiness, and turn their passion into profit.
What sets me apart is that I’ve lived this journey. I’ve been lost. I’ve been broken. I’ve started over — more than once. But I’ve come out on the other side with a renewed sense of self and a mission to empower others to do the same. I don’t just speak about purpose — I live it. Every story I share, every client I coach, and every word I write comes from a deeply personal place.
What I’m most proud of is being able to look someone in the eyes — someone who feels like they’re not enough, someone who feels forgotten or invisible — and remind them that their purpose still matters. That their story isn’t over. That it’s time to fuel their passion, lean into their power, and thrive in their purpose.
So, whether you’re feeling stuck, uncertain, or simply ready for something more — know that your journey to purpose begins now. And I’m here to walk with you every step of the way.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I had to unlearn was the belief that everyone who started with me was meant to finish with me. I used to carry the weight of trying to bring everyone along — friends, family, even people who no longer aligned with where I was going. I thought that holding on meant loyalty, but I came to realize that growth often requires release.
The turning point came when I truly started to strengthen my relationship with God. I spent more time in prayer, studying the Word, and seeking His voice. That stillness gave me discernment — the wisdom to see that some connections were seasonal, not lifelong. And that’s when it hit me: sometimes we’re holding on to the very thing God is trying to tear apart.
It wasn’t easy. I had to let go of guilt, fear, and the desire to be understood. But God reminded me that obedience is greater than attachment. And once I let go of what wasn’t meant for my next level, I gained clarity, peace, and alignment.
Now I move with greater purpose — not trying to carry everyone, but trusting God to guide who belongs in each chapter of my journey. Letting go doesn’t mean failure. It means faith.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes — my creative journey is deeply rooted in purpose. I believe that not everyone will get the chance to truly live out their divine calling, and that reality fuels everything I do. My mission is simple but powerful: to touch every soul I come in contact with and help them uncover the purpose that’s been placed inside of them.
Too many people are simply existing — going through life feeling empty, unfulfilled, or disconnected. I’ve been there. And that’s why I’ve made it my life’s work to help others break free from that cycle and step into the life they were created for. Whether it’s through coaching, speaking, writing, or simply having an intentional conversation, I want people to walk away feeling seen, inspired, and empowered to walk in purpose.
As I always say: “Life without purpose is no life at all.”
